I really wish they would wear the navy blue ones more, we wear them about once or twice a year, if that. I get sick of seeing the white jerseys for 13 games and then the throwbacks on thanksgiving and maybe the blues at Fedex field.

A couple of notes: In the 70s the team did use royal blue (not navy blue) for the numbers on the white jerseys. They look darker in the Staubach photo than the Romo one because of how much more primitive photography was back then. The photographer had to rely on high-speed film to get that shot (you'll notice how much more grainy it is than the Romo one). The result of using high-speed film is both a greater graininess and less of an ability to capture colors accurately. Today we have amazing DSLR cameras that are capable of maintaining accurate color at high shutter speeds with minimal graininess (called "noise" in today's photography terms). The inaccurate high-speed color photography of past decades has lead to the myth that the Cowboys used to use navy blue numbers in the 70s. Not true. It was royal blue. It shows up as royal blue in the posed shots. In posed shots the photographer would not have to use high speed film or a high shutter speed. He could therefore get the colors more accurate. Here is Staubach posing for a football card. And, yes, his numbers are royal blue:

That said, I do think we should get rid of the green tint in the home pants. Lose the "shark pants." They should be gray with blue tint. Green should not have anything to do with any Cowboys uniform.

Note: In past decades is was indeed possible to get accurate color in photography if using a slower film speed with enough light. However, doing it this way with sports photography was not practical because sports move too fast. They needed high shutter speeds that let less light in and hence needed high-speed film. They had to do it that way or they would not even get the shot.

I just wish they would fix the blue pants color. We no longer need that off color for TV. Just have it match the blue in the jersey.

I honestly don't think I like any of them in this thread, or even the current ones all that much. I think we have some of the better uniforms in the league, however, a lot of those throwbacks just look a little to glitzy and the current ones could absolutely be improved.

Silver, blue, and a star. Seems like the perfect ingredients for an elegantly simple uniform, which is what I think most people here want to see.

Edit: Actually, the uniform linked directly above are great.
