Stinging article from JFE/ FWST

Actually it DID HAPPEN at Wade's stop in Buffalo. You had the "Johnson" part of the team and the "Flutie" side of the team. Us in western NY heard about it constantly.

Yes, TO is TO, but to absolve Wade is wrong.

But you blame Wade for the stock market decline and everything else this year, so...

And to theo, I'm sure the big Werder story was just the whole situation coming to a head. Whatever problems there were surely had been developing for a long time before that.

Newman pretty much confirms much of Werder's story.

Half this forum spent days telling us what a liar Werder is.

Everyone who said as much owes him an apology.

A fish rots from the head down.

Last time I looked Wade was closer to the gills than he was the tail.

The problem with the Werder story was that it (1) cited a FWST article that was later determined to be incorrect, and (2) contained a fabricated quote, and (3) was misleading in its use of quotes by Bradie James.

Whether there was tension in the lockerroom is completely irrelevant.

Newman needs to be quiet. We paid him stupid-rich money, and he hasn't delivered anything. The guy has never been able to play the ball in the air, or stay on the field.

Everyone shutting up and hiding the underlying huge issues this team helps no one. Not sure what his ball skills have to do with anything.

If it takes someone like Newman to expose the issues and rile up the fan base, maybe Jerry will listen when we stop buying tickets and jerseys, etc. Public pressure is about the only thing that has a chance of changing this.

THe other day Jerry said in an interview "the fans usually come around by spring." Meaning he fully intends for us to eat whatever he swill he sells us.

Good for Newman. Accountability has to start somewhere, and it somehow has to get to Jerry.

What I find sadly amusing is the Ranch is burning down before the world and some people still think it's the media's fault.

It's all pretty simple as to the basic problems (plural) at The Ranch:

Lack of leadership at the HC position and the QB position.

It's obvious to me that many players on this team don't like and don't respect Tony Romo. Clarence Hill stated in his article yesterday that players complained to the coaches about Romo's "work ethic".

That's a serious situation!

Bingo.

If the problems can't be solved privately, and obviously they can't.

Then someone has to raise the stakes.

3 ring circus.

I just listened to jerry talk to norm for 25 minutes.

He spent half the time saying Bill didnt win either bill didnt win either and the rest of the time making excuses and denying the obvious.

This franchise is so ruined its not funny. Only a Jerry Jones franchise could destroy the chemistry that was built up over a 4 year period. Tank johnson was on the sideline screaming at his teammates dropping f bombs on everyone and he was the player chosen by Jerry Jones and he cost us Jason Ferguson, a locker room leader and a guy other players gravitated to.

Jerry told norm owens and wade and garrett are going nowhere, but jerry and wade are going to get tough. Jerry blamed garrett and said there were not enough plays in the playbook for december.....

5-11 here we come, franchise pass rusher, tight end, running back and quarterback be damned......there is a new stadium going up.

Wait, I thought that's what people wanted -- a guy with passion, *****ing people out. So, we lack heart, but we can blame Jerry for bringing in a guy that does have heart?

What the heck does that mean?

Did we use them up in November?

Thanks for the report, but it makes me sick to my stomach.

Daddy Jerry is gonna get tough now that he sees the problem with his kids. Give me a break!

I look forward to watching Jerry next season when it starts to unravel in Week 2. The only question now is who will be the HC after next season?

Heard mort this morning or yesterday make a good point.

Don't know if he came up with it or if he said he heard it from an NFL coach.

He said it is easier for a tough coach to loosen up a bit and the team/players respect it and go with it (ala tom coughlin) than it is for a easy coach to get tough and have the team/players respect it and go with it.

Now I also want to say that it seems like wade did not say he was going to change his personality and with that I take it he was not going to start cussing and yelling if he did not do that before. What he seems to indicate is he is just going to try and hold the players accountable and run a tighter ship. Not sure if there is much difference in that but that is what I gathered from all of this so far.

Personally...I doubt it happens unless the Jerry steps in and tells the team that What Wade says goes and that is not going to dispute it and I don't know if Jerry is willing to do that. I would also think that whether it is fair or not that Wade, with Jerry's support, needs to make a statement by getting rid of a player or doing something like suspending them or take away their playing time (like for a game or not start a game) in order for people to take it seriously. Again...I don't see that happening and I don't think Jerry would approve even if Wade wanted to do something like that.

In short, I don't see a big change coming in how wade approaches things but even if he himself does make a big change I don't see the players taking him seriously unless Jerry steps in and makes it clear that what wade says goes. And as I stated before I don't think Jerry will do that.

So I guess we hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Time will tell.

F&%$ Newman, he was one of the ones that played like crap. He's always injured and only shows up to play a few games each season when he's not. If he was referring to Jason Witten or anyone that refers to Jason Witten as a coward is an idiot. He's the toughest most respectable player we have. If theres people that need to shut their mouth its people like Newman.

EDit: P.s Disregard this if i misunderstood what was said about witten...

thats not heart, Passion is getting on the field, making a play at all costs, going the extra yard or making the extra step to make a tackle.

Screaming has nothing to do with being a leader, screaming at your teammates in that situation has nothing to do with being a leader.

Everyone around here relates screaming at people to being a leader because that is what irvin did.

Leaders put the team first at all times and do their absolute best at all times within their role to help the team win.

and tank johnson probably has no respect in that lockerroom, he is one of jerry's name players, his pet projects......Those guys in that locker room spears, ratliff, ellis, ware, canty....they played with classy individuals in glover and ferguson, they now how and when things are being done the right way.....

so they probably dont give a darn what tank friggen johnson has to say, he is part of what is wrong with this team, he is put on the team because of his name and forces a guy out the team loved who was a leader by example was great in the locker room. Not tank johnson who has made about 2 plays in 2 years here and doesnt have a leg to stand on.

Thanks for posting this. I hope somebody posts the audio sometime, I'd love to hear it.

Jerry won't accept what the real problems are. He refuses to acknowledge his many mistakes. He's determined to be known as a real football man, and he'll work towards that til his deathbed. And if that means Cowboy fans don't see success for yet another decade, so be it.

Like it or not folks, we're well on our way to becoming the Raiders.

He said the offense was not diverse enough basically to be able to keep defenses guessing in december...we were all figured out..

this was about 10 minutes after he just said the offense is not simple and that the players like garrett and that they dont execute and then gave a 10 minute diatribe on execution from his offensive players........and at one point he said route running wasnt a problem on this team..

See the problem with this organization?

he is lost. Jerry has no answers and he is the one making the decisions going forward. Its sad.

I thought Werder made all that stuff up? Certainly there aren't any issues on this team right?
Like I've been trying to say from the beginning. We may dislike Werder, but he reported accurately. Man I wish we had Jimmy Johnson.
