Stock up:

1. Michal Gallup - the kid is a baller
2. Cooper - if only Dak could get him the ball more......
3. Dak - Had a few bad throws but played well overall....
4. The guys with Gatorade bottle ( ran out of ideas)

Stock Down:

1. LVE - was simply aweful. He made no plays and looked lost on the field most of the night
2. Marinelli - Ever heard of a run blitz? Gotta think Chris Richard is the new DC
3. DLAW - Complete no-show. Do we pay him?
4. Byron Jones - gave up some big catches and a killer penalty
5. Randy Gregory - Cannot play the run. He was so ineffective that Taco saw action
6. Connor Williams - Just putrid. He couldn't block anyone.

Connor Williams' stock has to be up. He went against the best DT in the NFL and did a pretty good job keeping him out of Dak's lap all night. Williams need a year to get stronger but after tonight I want to see more of him next year.

I would have to say Jaylon Smith is stock down after tonight. I thought he had a terrible game. A number of those runs the Rams had went right by Jaylon. He cannot be happy with his performance.

Overall, the defense looked a lot like the defense that played against the Colts. two games is a trend and its one the Cowboys must figure out. Personally, I have never been convinced teh Cowboys DTs were the real deal. Not convinced Taco and Gregory are the real deal either. Maybe with one more season A Woods will improve but my gut tells me they need a stud DT in the middle. They have been trying to get away with K-Mart specials but that's not working.

LVE is down because of one poor game where almost every other player on Def also played horrible. OK...

Agree with most of your list but overall I think William's had a solid game. On paper he had the biggest mismatch on the field, but held his own.

Also Richard is the one calling the plays, not rod

LVE and Jaylon were getting owned by the Rams motion on offense. They were routinely hitting the wrong gaps, and then when they got desperate and sold out against the run, McVay had jet sweeps / PA boots / Goff 3rd and 7 runs whenever he wanted them.

Yep. Underpowered rookie up against arguably the NFL's best player, that could have gone way worse than it did.

How are you putting Jaylon Smith on there? Completely lost at times, tried sidestepping a blocker instead of filling the hole on one goal line TD.

The LBs were bad partly because the DL didn't eat up any blockers. The Rams had a great plan tonight. They loaded up on their run and loaded up against the Cowboys run.

Personally D-Law isn't worth a new contract given the performance towards the end of the season. Let someone else back up the Brinks truck for him. Go draft a few Snacks Harrison type defensive tackles then fire Marinelli.

Unless I missed, surprised to see no mention of Linehan down. Or is it because it was impossible for it to get lower anyway?

I'm thinking they moved a.donald over C.Williams nose on our predictable run downs, rather than the normal 3 tech to control both gaps and keep lbs clean.....…..zeke had absolutely no room inside.

to me that is a fault of Rod M. d scheme......the 3 tech is out of position in the run D, and Lbrs get eaten up

Where are Heath and Crawford?

D-Law is the one that seriously has to be questioned. He's been very good most of the season, but not great. Disappeared in the important games. Gregory has been playing better as of late, but both were gone in this game.

Lawrence will get a top five pass rusher contract in 2019. But I don't feel he deserves it. If it comes from the Cowboys it might be a mistake.

Stock down again - dlaw

I'd offer him less than hes making on the tag. Think 15 mil a year is plenty for him.

Tbh, I think he called a pretty normal Scott Linehan game. Lots of super predictable power sets, motioning WRs down to block, no picks, no play action... he even saved us the usual failed jet sweep.

You hit it right on the head. Said it another thread, McVay showed the value tonight of one of the best play callers in the business and had the defense off balance all night. Wish the Cowboys had a great play caller or HC to match.
