We did the stock up, stock down, or stasis for Teams, but how about our very own Dallas Cowboys?

In your opinion, for the Quarterback position, are the Cowboys up, down, or in stasis?

Tomorrow we'll hit some skill positions.

For us I say up in a big way...we know Tony will play at his normally high level, now we have a backup that could start for many teams now.

We're up versus 2011 largey because a healthy Orton (presumably) easily beats a Kitna with a bad back.

If I could have a 2010 Kitna then I say its a wash.

Up with the QB position. After all, we could be Seattle or KC or Miami or Minnesota etc.

I wonder what this same poll would be for Philly? Because Vick has never completed a full season I would say down.

I would say stasis, slightly up maybe with Orton but Romo is the important piece.

Up slightly
I think Romo slightly improves over last year (assuming good health) with something like 4350/37/12 numbers.
Plus our backup is an upgrade vs the 2011 version of Kitna.

BTW
Other NFC East
NYG slightly down given Eli going more towards being, well, Eli.

Philly slightly up--whcih should not be too hard to given Vicks weak year in 2011.

Washington even to maybe even slightly up (only due to RG3 being a rookie and that Gross/Beck combined for about 4000 yards but 18 TDs and a normally Eli-like 24 ints.)

How is philly up at all at QB? Vick is a very avg QB at best that without looking it up I think has played one full season his entire career, seems to have tunnel vision in the fact that if his go to guy is covered, it's feet do your stuff because he is terrible at reading a blitz and finding 2nd and 3rd go to guys.....THEN, they pull their backup QB out of retirement, then Kafka as their 3rd string...QB is by far their weakest link.

It's all relative Ron.
I think Vick will have a better year this year than last, that's all. Nothing more or less. It say zero aboout what I think of him as a QB one way or the other except that instead of 3300/18/16 he maight have 3350/20/16.

I'm leaving emotions out of this.

I guess we can revisit this at the end of year if you wish.

Two things about Vic.
1) On any given day he can play as well as any QB.
2) The way he killed us last season, you're not likely to get many here to see him for what he really is.

Slightly UP because of Orton.

In the actually performance of Romo, I expect an improvement because of all the other UP arrows for the skill players surrounding him.

Up. Romo continues to be one of the best in the league. He had a very good year last year even though he battled injuries all season. Add in the fact that we upgraded our backup and the arrow has to be pointing up.

Really? What teams were banging down Orton's door to start for them???

I know some here can only see the icing and not the cake but even in the last game it had more to do with our marshmallow DB's and lack of pressure on our defensive front than it was his 18/32 he put up...their defensive front had much more to do with their win than anything he did.

Agreed. I hope next season he chokes, hard. It's easy to win when nobody expects you to and he's done that twice already. I hope he leads the league in INTs AGAIN.

I don't know, I'm not his agent....I know a few that SHOULD have been if they weren't already

Stop with the negativity. The guys a legit starter in this league. Is he a bottom tier starter whom you're constantly looking to improve on? Of course.

But anyone who knows better, knows that when a borderline starting QB finally gives in and accepts a back up role in exchange for a little financial security is a great catch.

Even. Romo will be the usual. Orton is not a guy I'd want for more than a couple games at the most. McGee sounds like an endangered species unless he pulls a rabbit out of the hat.

I'll say stasis...maybe just slightly up.

Romo is going to do what he does...and perhaps if others stay healthy, he might have another career year, this time with MVP consideration, but that's hard to predict.

Orton is a decent QB, and I'm glad we have him, but I don't think he's much better than what Kitna provided when he was here...maybe a bit better.

So...okay slightly up...depending.

I know, way to make a call, huh?

It's a good call though. I like the way you put it.

A follow up question for everyone to think about...considering what you gave Kitna for a grade for 2011-2012, how would you grade Orton, in a pre-season ranking sort of grade?
