I wouldn't say Butler is down. He showed me something today but he has to get much, much smarter. That could have been a killer mistake on that unsportsmanlike penalty. The TD drop wasn't an easy catch.

Mayowa is a JAG. Hopefully with Lawrence back and maybe Davis playing more, Mayowa will get less snaps.

Bailey, really? Butler i think did good considering. We beat on a depleted team that kept dropping players. Luckily their coaches were worse than ours. I dont know why they stopped gashing us up the middle but ok, ill take it. Again Jason didnt want to attack their weaknesses but eventually they lost Bowman so there was nothing he could do but attack a weakness. I dont know which of our coaches just gave up and said "OK FINE IF YOU WANT TO WIN WE LL RUN IT BUT IM NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT" so we did and finally Elliot ran over a bad team. Even better without Bowman, surprise surprise.

How this team looks at our RBS and say "you know, we gotsa pass it" i have no idea. But someone broke down, probably complaining we won. something happened.

Loved how Dez ran up to him after that play and yelled at him to pull the ball away from defenders side (using his body to shield) when making those back shoulder catches.

And Witten talking to him about the unsportsmanlike. Butler took both talking to's hard but he didn't pout and rage back. He should improve.

That's what bothered me the most about the unsportsman like conduct penalty. It came after a 9 yard completion. I was like dude, at least score a touchdown and taunt. Don't taunt someone cuz you caught a pass.

Butler isn't really young. He has been in the league for some time. He does sort of seem to be coming into his own a little bit, but just glimpses of it.

I don't see Butler as the end all, be all, but I think he can do what Williams does for far less money. Neither of them are really true #2 wide receivers, but if we aren't going to throw it to the number two there is no reason to pay a guy you aren't going to throw to.

I agree, when he first did it I thought it was a penalty but the replay showed him tossing the ball away from the defender.
