Need rest Zeke. Pollard takes it to house and then barely used again???? Stop forcing zeke up middle or throwing 2 yard passes to him. Makes no sense. Owner should not dictate playing a hurt ineffective player!!!! I blame the coaches /kellen moore- right now needs to be 60/40 pollard at minimum. No need put zeke out in there in pass routes!! Stop the insanity.
 
They should of had a better split between the two.

I like Zeke, but it's clear his knee is bothering him. I give him credit for going out there and taking the inside run abuse/pass blocking but it's hampering him to the point he looks like a plodder out there.

Pollard isn't Jesus in cleats but he at least gives us that sudden acceleration/speed that can catch the defense off guard if he can find a crease.
 
Id rather sign Taysom Hill from the Saints. That dude rushed for 100+ yards on 10 carries with a broken finger and hurdled Kearse easily....

Need to cut zeke ASAP and use him in blocking or decoy situations . One of the biggest busts and most expensive for sure .

Exactly.

It’s not like every play is going to be a big play but the guy has a chance to hit a homerun every time he touches the ball.

Zeke is a better player than he is showing too but our coaches won’t sit him and let him heal.
 
Wasn't pollard averaging less than 2 yards per carry before he broke the long run on a sweep to the outside?

This offensive line is moving no one. Zero push. Until they can improve that its going to be a struggle. Kellen Moore needs to adjust also.
While you can't abandon the run because you dont want to become predictable, when your men are just physically inferior and not up to the task you can't keep running the ball between the tackles and into your own offensive linemen.

I have no problem with Pollard taking carries, I am just not blind or foolish enough to think it would matter if it were Zeke, Pollard, or prime Emmitt running between the tackles when you have zero room to run.

Yea sending Zeke out wide for a pass with gimpy knee was stupid. A great example of Moore’s horrible play calling last night.

Agreed. You can tell he's hurt. He was limping at the beginning of the game. We need him healthy. A couple of missed games isn't going to hurt us.
 
We'd best draft a heavy-duty RB to replace Zeke when he's hurt or perhaps, even cut. Too many over-paid stars are killing this team! :omg:

I don't know about the play calling. The saints D did a great job of containing the run most of the night. Lamb is just darn good. Execution is a big part of the puzzle.

This is not the way to look at it at all.

You’re giving him more touches because he can take it to the house any play.

He ended up averaging 10 yards a carry because of that with only 7 touches.

Dallas isn’t even using him in a way yet that puts him in a optimal position for success. They’re still in denial with Zeke like a lot of you.

Zeke still needs a role on this team but it needs to shrink.

Yes. I’m in the camp that Zeke needs to rest for the playoffs but the running game has problems that start up front. Until those are fixed we have problems.

The refs could have EASILY called a penalty on that play...almost the same one they called on Saints.

Great play....I thought Pollard did as great job baiting that defender all the way downfield. But without that just ONE play....Pollard didn't do anything either.

I'm not one to take away a play to prove a point. Just saying Pollard was as consistent as zeke.

Having said that why the f are we playing hurt zeke anyway? Let pollard get the 3 yard runs and one home run.

It seems like we just crowd up the middle. There's no play action or misdirection.

It seems like Kellen Moore runs a vanilla play, and then shows everyone the running game won;t work. Weird.
