Stop kicking Romo already

Like I posted earlier, the guy had a bad game. So what? You don't think all QB's have bad games? Everyone was raving about him this time last week. He had three inteceptions. One pass simply got away from him. One was a little behind the TE, but was a complete fluke, and the other was a bad pass. He still had us in position to win with 3 minutes left, in spite of those bad plays and all the things that went against us last night. Let's be honest, it would have been a miracle if we had won that game with everything that went wrong. Romo didn't have his best game and that is going to happen from time to time. If 3/4 of his game are good, I'll take it.

Besides, it's up to us as Cowboys fans to stop all the piling on. I just read a headline on Yahoo.com that said "Romo costs team game". I didn't see anything about Brady costing his team the game. Or Big Ben. Or Rodgers. Were we not in the lead the last time Romo left the field? The fact is, everyone wants to kick Tony Romo and I just don't think we, as Cowboys fans, should join the party. It's one bad game. He'll probably throw 5 TD's next week. Don't join the media idiots and bash our own player.

It's past the oh it's just a "bad game "problem.

His game is not progressing and it's the same mistakes we've seen plenty in the past. This is now a behavior and pattern of how Tony operates. I like him as much as the next guy, but make no mistake about it. He is part of the problem.

In looking at the play, I honestly think the first interception was a great throw, and a great read, but that's just my theory.

Romo saw the man coverage, and saw that Crayton was going to beat it to the sideline. He also saw the outside corner was manned on Roy, and was going to follow him inside. IIRC, the outside corner (Thomas?) slipped slightly, leaving him righ in the ball's path.

I really expected Collinsworth to point that out.

The INTs weren't as bad as his overall performance. Those were really kind of flukey things. But on the whole, he was off, he was tentative with his throws, and just made bad decisions.

THREAD FAIL. I'm done with "Turnover Tony" and I do believe a majority of knowledgeable 'Boys fans are too..........can't win the big one: plain and simple.

Go ahead and leave then. Because he's our QB for the foreseeable future.

Romo deserves to be kicked today.

We had the typical Dallas Cowboy failure last night and someone must pay.

I agree. He was a little off. I have to admit, I probably would have been too with the weight of the world on my shoulders like he had last night. The first interception may have been off, it looked like the ball slipped like he tried to change his target at the last second. The throw to Witten was behind him, but what QB doesn't do that a couple times a game? We were just snake bit that the ball bounced off Witten's shoe, and shot up directly at the hand of the defender. The third interception was his worst one and was simply a bad read. I expect he will be great next week.

TDCF. It's a revolution.

I don't know of another team that is this adept at tearing their fans hearts out year after year. Maybe the Commanders and Mavericks. Or the Cubs. I don't know. Unfortunately, we are that type of team now.

That's the trouble. He puts it on his shoulders. It was obvious from the DROP last night that we could rape the Giants on the ground. All Romo needed to do was not turn it over. He needed to realize that he didn't need to be our opening night hero - the ground game had things on lockdown.

That's the next step he's got to take. For his entire career we've relied on him - but he needs to figure out when we don't need him to win the game, we need him to manage it - and adjust his game accordingly.

Next week is not a given Carolina will be hungry. Bottom line is we have a mentally weak QB. I've defended him as much as anybody but I'm done, tired of being let down. He needs to get his **** together.

This.

At first I thought the throw was intended for Roy and just sailed on him, but on the replay it didn't look like it sailed, it looked like it was intended for Crayton and the UDFA CB made a mistake and got the ball handed to him.

INT 1
It was clear to me that the Giants practically knew the play with Pierce very excitedly signaling a defense audible.

INT 2
Unlucky, yes. Terrible throw, yes.

INT 3
Terrible play call, terrible read, just plain TERRIBLE.
