OK, here I go:

Perhaps this game Monday will be a wake-up call.:lmao2:

OK, seriously. Really and truly, maybe the debacle in Irving yesterday will so embarrass the Cowboys they'll ge geared up to play the Lions and then whoever in the playoffs.

You aren't buying it, right?

No, we will likely beat the Lions. They are that bad, especially on the road.

Luckily, if the Eagles win, we will play Seattle, who is playing as bad as us.

Then, maybe we will have a resurrgence against the Bears.

Its all just a ploy to make everyone think we are weak & easy to beat. However when the playoffs start we will show em what we are made of!!

Not anymore, not this season. Still holding out hope for victories as long as they're alive in the playoffs, but as far as the game yesterday really "firing them up" to suddenly look very differently on the field---I don't see it.

I'm even having a hard time deciding how I feel about how they'll look against the Lions. Someone said in another thread that pretty much every team has treated their game against us as their Super Bowl the last few weeks, and that the Lions will be no different. I don't doubt it. Look at the closing game of last season against the Rams. Almost identical scenario with a bad team coming in at home (with a lame duck HC to boot in Joe Vitt) and we totally stink it up. Granted, we were guaranteed to be out of the playoffs by kickoff but then again, we're guaranteed to be in this year, and the way this team reacts to "must wins" and opportunities in front of them anyway, it all pretty much evens out.

Plus something spooky about how perfectly circular this is all shaping up. Loss to a putrid team in the Rams to close out the '05 season on the first day of 2006; game against a putrid team in the Lions on the 365th day of 2006 to close out the '06 season. I'm getting nervous already.

We've only used 1% of our playbook. When the playoffs start, we'll really open it up then.

after the N.O. game and then this I'm convinced that this team does'nt get embarrased, they just don't care.

I'm happy the Boys are on the road for the playoffs.
The most one sided and embarrassing losses this year have come at Home.
