RightYep. He kind of glossed over that fact.
Sure, we can sign all the stars but that then leaves little for depth and other positions. You become a top heavy roster which is something we should understand well.
It’s easy to say, no big deal, use up most of our cap on like 10-12 players and then draft ridiculously well and have a great roster.
In practice it is very tough.
And it doesn’t scratch the surface of whether it is wise to pay them all anyway. For example, how much sense does it make to claim you have to pay the TB elite money because he’s the most important player on offense, but then you also pay the QB a contract that fits with a QB who is the best player on an offense.
Prob cant pay them all. Just the most critical.
Our dilemma at RB is magnified cause of our dependability on his talent with a less than Elite QB. And why so many have argued not over paying QB.
If we can’t win games without an Elite RB and WR with this QB then they become necessary and will have to get by with less elsewhere.
