For those of you wanting that bigger RB...
Storm Johnson is currently listed on the Jags site at 6' and 216, only 22yrs old, and probably going to be a cut when it comes time to trim down to the 53.
He was a 4.5 guy at the combine, and he has added 10 lbs since being drafted.
His issue is numbers when I look at the Jags depth here..
They just spent a high draft pick on
TJ Yeldon 6'1" 226 , so there is the starter
Toby Gerhart 6' 231 , is the 2
Denard Robinson 6' 198, very versatile, very talented athlete, can be RB/WR in their offense.

So you can see how Storm Johnson could be off this roster, and he is another prospect that should be at the very least, considered worthy of the churn.

I think Gerhart is the one to go. Johnson actually played pretty well last year.

looks more like a PS player,,,career stats = 29 carries for total of 86yds ... not likely the answer to the Cowboys RB problem

If you are looking for a sleeper type to emerge off that roster, Corey Grant might be the one to look for. He can play special teams, first and foremost.

http://www.firstcoastnews.com/story...kie-running-back-surprise-offseason/29113067/

The Jaguars actually have a nice little collection of backs. Yeldon should be the starter, Robinson the change of pace and Gerhart the short yardage. Johnson and Bernard Pierce (ex-Ravens) look to be the odd ones out.

Like any back that will come around, they have to have some special teams skill and we will have to have that need if nobody claims the role.

Johnson is not it, neither is Pierce for that matter. Grant has that, but if he shows in camp what he did in OTAs, he will not shake loose.

When the Cowboys say they are "comfortable" with what they have, I believe it. Bad outlook IMO, but I believe they think that.

That is why a lot of these hope and dreams about getting something else at RB just aren't going to happen unless some injuries strike or somebody just lays an egg in preseason.

I thought Denard Robinson was their starting WR.

Played good on the Jags last games were even talking bout having him and Denard for the future before selecting TJ.

I dont believe it at all. I only believe they will go into the season with what they have instead of over extending for a back. Which if Im right is smart. But Ive heard too many times that they have eyes on the HB market to believe they are truly set.

I think they are going to give Randle a good lookin preseason and if he doesnt look like a good 15-20 carry a game guy they trade fkr someone

You need to watch more All 22 of the Jaguars then.

Robinson is their staring WR, but it's Allen.

I will likely watch the Jags on the All-22 this season now that they have the best RT in the league...

I'm thinking about getting into fantasy football just so I can draft their RBs. They just need to run to the right.

I never thought the day would come where we are hoping to get the Jaguars 4th back as our potential starter lol.

Im not attacking you, just using your reply as an example.
This is a very common reply and very understandable why a lot of fans seem to have this thought process.
Not saying your wrong, but I just feel the exact opposite.
I have seen too many times a recurring theme with a player that leaves a bad situation and enters a new situation, and finds success.
A RB with certain high qualifying intangibles coming to this team, behind this OL, well its really a no brainer.
I just dont understand why this isnt 20/20.

I will say if we got this guy and he panned out, calling our Oline "The Storm Front" would be B.A.

Oops I just Googled "Storm front" and it's a Klan organization. I had no idea. Sorry if anyone was offended mods you can delete. Thanks Klan for screwing up a normal phrase.
