Strahan to Boldin: Keep quiet
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=nfl&id=4080184#
Associated Press

AVONDALE, Ariz. -- Michael Strahan has some advice for disgruntled Arizona receiver Anquan Boldin: Be quiet.

"I know he's not happy here but complaining about it in the press really doesn't help you," Strahan said.

The former New York Giants star made the comment Saturday at Phoenix International Raceway, where he was representing the race sponsor in NASCAR's Subway Fit 500.

Besides, Strahan said, "Playing in Arizona's not so bad. He could be with T.O. (Terrell Owens) in Buffalo. It's colder up there."

Boldin, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, is upset that he hasn't gotten a new contract and has said he wants to be traded. Earlier this week, coach Ken Whisenhunt acknowledged the Cardinals would listen to offers, but added that the main goal is to re-sign Boldin, who has two years left on his contract.

It works but at the cost of being branded a malcontent. Hopefully he'll keep his mouth shut for a couple of years before beginning to chirp again.

I have no problem with a proven player asking for more money if his original contract doesn't meet his production. And especially in this case where it would be clear-cut whom the #1 would be in Arizona if they weren't so lucky to have Fitz already. This is a business of value, a live stock trade, not a business of owners being able to get "deals" on Grade-A. If they want to retain Boldin's services, they had best get on board and pay him what he's worth, cause other teams most certainly will. And in the end, only the Cards getting hurt.

My bet, Boldin doesn't make another peep once he gets to a team that wants him and pays him what he's worth. This is just a case of wanting to be valued equal to what you know you're worth, and in Arizona that is not the case.

yep, i think the cardinals will trade him
best thing bouldin can do is not show up at camp, workouts, refuse and make the cardianals trade him

otherwise they will just play with him and keep him on a string

because dont forget, Kurt Warner offered to lower his contract and cut one million dollars for the cardinals to sign him

now what are the cardinals doing, same thing that they did with kurt warner,

cardinals are well known for not paying their players

Am I the only poster that did not like Strahan as a player, but I kinda like his commenting on FOX.

He's funny and does somewhat good...

Remember when Bradshaw brought that clothsline rope for Strahan so he could floss his teeth?

No, I feel the same way. He's not bad on the pre-game show. Seems comfortable and quick-witted on the air.

I am afraid if Bolden had played in a more prominent media market he would be viewed much like TO. I sense a lot of his attitude gets missed because he is in a relatively out of the way place.

He's a tough, talented player. But he also knows it and is quite impressed by himself. I think his ego dwarfs the average NFL player's ego.

I'm kinda tired of high-ego, high-maintenatnce players for a while, I would pass on this one & see what the young-uns can do with TO gone.

I like Strahan. He's a good addition to what I consider the best pre-game show going. It's just like Bradshaw--hated him with a passion while he was playing but really like him afterwards.

I wonder do players who turn into the media get the same level of respect from the players? My answer is no especially the ones that go with the do I as I say do mantra.

I think that the gap band is being a little bit disingenuous because if I recall correctly he threw a hissy fit or two during his playing days.
