Strange but true: 2 seed will have a harder game than 5 seed

I’m hoping if we land the 5 that the Rams get the 7. they will definitely beat Philly and have a chance to upset SF
I think Seattle would also take it to Philly. But both teams are 8-7 currently, and I think SEA goes 2-0 while LAR goes 1-1.

I agree. Dont see LAR beating SF and then losing the 1 seed

Mayfield may have turned the corner.
He is doing what he did in Cleveland and they ran him out of town. The Bucs last 4 games have been against Carolina, Atlanta, Green Bay and Jacksonville. Remember when the Cowboys looked good against those easy teams?

I'm not with your logic, sorry.

Yes, the WC "might" be easier again Tampa but need to look bigger picture which is win WC, then have a home game if seed 2 whereas we could blow out Tampa them get crushed on the road next game.

I hear you.......but I just don't agree with it.

There's a distinct possibility that all 3 WCs win.

The Rams and Seahawks are dangerous and the Eagles/Lions do not have great pass defenses.
Yeah, what an odd year. There had been a few really good teams and everyone else was mediocre. Now the good teams have slumped and the mediocre have been balling out.

Aside from the 9ers I don't believe in anyone in the NFC. I only believe the 9ers because they've abused us so many times.

It's honestly wide open. That should inspire confidence, but we are a long ways away from deserving that.

Allow the Rams to be a perfect example of why you dont blow up your cap and trade high draft picks for a SB run…..

In a year or two you may end up with only the 6 or 7 seed instead of the 5.

Play it safe Stephen. Nice work.

Carolina has actually had a good pass defense, Atlanta as well and I don't believe the GB defense has been terrible. There's obviously a ton of context in there but it's surprising to see how some of the defenses rank. Baker was trash in Cleveland, but who knows maybe the change has helped. Some guys need to move on, and system matches are critical. Too many coaches attempt to plug and play in their system. Anyway, I'm not one to defend Baker Mayfield lol. He makes solid commercials though.

This would be ideal
If there is a team that can upset the niners it is Rams
Then we can have NFCCG at home

(Of course this is a dream because TB will beat us)
Seahawks could knock out the 9ers too.

Just like with Eagles and Washington playing us, you can throw the records out the window with the divisional games.

To beat a healthy 9ers team, you need a great defense and there really aren't any in the NFC.

With that said, divisional games can be really unpredictable and the 9ers will likely have 2 divisional opponents in the playoff mix.

That bodes well for us

I'm really warming up to the idea of just embracing the 5 seed and focus on getting/staying healthy for the playoffs. The 5 seed does appear to give a better path to an NFC championship game. I think that's where the team is too, which is why they haven't appeared too concerned with losing to Buffalo and Miami.

Yeah both the Rams and Hawks are a tough out for them.

It'll be road (where we can't seem to play well) vs home (where we excel).......I'd rather play at home and am confident in any matchup where we aren't playing the boom box boys.

A home playoff game is always greater than a road playoff game.

And we already beat Rams and Seahawks at home. And who says we would not be playing the Vikings anyway.

Also I am not so sure that Philly can go into TB and win.

Give me the home playoff game.
Yes, sir. It really isn’t that hard. Dallas probably beats Miami if that game is at home. Take the home game and let the chips fall where they do. Besides, it’s in the best interest for the paying ticket holders.

Yeah I've been making that point for awhile. The 5 seed isn't bad in round one. Plus if Detroit gets upset we may be in Philly for the divisional. I'd take that as well.
Detroit and Philly could get upset in round one.
