Adrian Peterson had a 90-yard touchdown run on Monday night.

He failed to get 100 yards rushing for the game despite several more rushes.

That's strange.

Not really strange. Philly shut down their run game on every play except one. On that play there was a busted assignment and since the play started at the Commanders own 10 yard line, the result was a 90 yard run.

Had they busted the assignment when Washington was on the philly 22 yard line, it would be the exact same thing except it wouldn’t have gotten your attention.

JMO, of course.

It is really odd to have a RB get a 90 yard run and not get 100 yards..lol

Zeke is way better than peterson though

It was Sanchez after being on the team 2 weeks, they didn't have to respect the passing game . As others said, one busted play and AP made them pay . The rest of the time they keyed on him

It's definitely strange. Another thing that's strange, 90 yard runs generally occur once every 1-2 years, we've had 3 already in the NFL in 13 weeks. Looking at the list of 90 yard runs... I'm not going to research all of them but a surface scan makes me believe it's highly unlikely that this has ever happened before (having a 90 yard run but < 100 yards). Kaepernick and Terrelle Pryor both had 90 yard runs and you would think it's maybe possible that it could have been their only significant rush, but nope... they were over 100 too.

The Commanders just don't bother using Peterson a lot of the time.
