Strat-O-Matic Cowboys

Any other Strat-O-Matic football players in this forum? I've seen Madden discussed, but Strat is a more statistically driven game, even the computer game, and not so much eye candy. (They have a card and dice version and a computer version)

If you played an entire schedule per the actual NFL schedule, etc, the statistics come out VERY close to the actual numbers.

Interesting note associated with it. Julius Jones got a pretty good card this year but I was disappointed that when defenses guess "right" on him, his numbers are not very good. For those who don't play the game, this means that they don't show him to be a very "tough" runner, more of a finesse guy.

I personally think Julius picks up some tough yards.

I was into statis-pro sports back in my youth. I loved the baseball version but I didn't like the football one as much. Too much calculation before each play. I simplified the rules a little and improved it. The basketball version was horrible. I chucked it and made up my own game which I really enjoyed playing.
