Strategy for the 2nd round pick...

As pick 53 comes up, looking at my draft board, I'd enterain the thought of moving down 5 or 6 picks... this could likely get them another 4th this year...

At that point, I'd be targeting WRs and OL-- Aundrae Allison and Jason Hill at WR, Doug Free, Manny Ramirez and Samson Satele on the OL... at least one of them ought to be on the board at 58 or 59, more likely a couple- three of them...

Assuming they could find a willing trade partner in that range, of course... this is my "ideal" scenario...

I'd take Kalil. He's by far the best player on the board. The Cowboys don't have anyone backing up Gurode since Al Johnson left. He's smart and comes from a football family so he should be able to pick up guard as well. The guy is as much of a sure thing as you can get.

hmmm..i'm not sure...I like Kalil and he is a sure thing...so it wouldn't be the worst thing

I don't think that we need camp fodder. i would feel more inclined to bundle my lower picks to take a higher pick that has a legit chance to compete.
