Do we open it up like yesterday or do we play it like the first one? I think with Springs likely out and the rookie Rogers starting, Dallas should throw it downfield early and often. Also, the key on defense is gonna be to hit Brunell early. If we let him sit back there, he'll pick us apart. Time to bring the pain!

Well, we smacked him around pretty good in week 2, but he still found a way to win it. Best thing to do is break Moss's leg early in the game and then it's easy street.

I say.... punch them in the mouth and then keep doing it. I think this is the game to reestablish the run and then take advantage of their blitzes. At some point you are going to have to control the line of scrimmage and get confidence that you can do so. I think that starts this week on both sides of the ball with more physical play. You don't want this team to get all finesse and try to rely on the pass, even though the Resdkins corners are looking banged up.

Enough toying with teams that we should beat. Put them away early, not 13-0 either. More like 24-0 where we should have been in week 2. Don't let them breathe, air it out.

On offense, punch them in the grill.."POW RIGHT IN THE KISSER!!!"

Defensively, you saw it yesterday, they are turn over prone, get after Brunell, force errant throws, and force them to put the ball on the ground.

We need this win, and it would be wonderful to all but eliminate Washington from the playoffs. I said I hope we meet end of the season, playoffs on the line for both teams, and we knock them out. That would be sweet.

air it out early. Would you want to place a bet on which RB (Portis vs. Jones/Barber) would do better against two good run defenses? Pass early and often.

i actually think i have detected a shift in Parcells' thinking about opening up the offense. it IS something he has control over - how far to open the tap, so to speak. he intentionally gameplanned a more pass-oriented attack, as he did against the Eagles first time.
I think we'll see a more open offense again this week - i'll even predict Newman gets a pass route to run!!! Bill is gearing it up a bit, since every game now is virtually a playoff game. No holds barred... Time to walk the walk...

we need to re-establish our running game if we're to make a serious run in the playoff. at the same time, i'd like to continue to open up the offense with more vertical passing to keep the safeties from cheating up to the los.

these next three games are when we need to start gaining more than 2-3 yards per carry. if we can do that while still airing it out, we can finally have a true balanced offense.
