Yeah that's fare even though DAL didn't amount to crap last year., but that's what happens when you have to play all the teams from the NFC Championship game twice each year.

Playing the NFC North and AFC West will make the strength of schedule go up. Then add in what @GMO415 stated, two teams that played in the NFC Championship game are in the NFC East and each team in the division plays them twice.

The schedule will be a gauntlet. But, each year teams fall off or pop up out of nowhere. Take it a week at a time folks.

This is nice and all. But how many of those teams will drop back this year, how many will move up.
It will be tough but I think on paper now with Pickens, they improved enough to be at least considered a playoff team.
I had them pushing to make the 7th spot, had them 7 to 10 range. But if the NFL goes as it usually goes, a few of those teams drop opening the door for Dallas and another team or two.

I don't get into what teams they play or how many playoff teams they play. I look more at how the schedule is laid out.
Do they have finishing on the road again and like 4 of 6 on the road, 2 of 3, or the last 2 on the road, or will be finally get 2 of 3 at home.

Seemed we use to get, not screwed over, but not exactly fair schedule either (as some other tams also). But the last 2 or 3 years or so, have been fairly reasonable. No complaints.
I would love for us to have a home game for once before the T-Day game.
Remember when they had us on the road on a SNF game before the T-Day game.

Anyway give us more home games to finish at home for once. Since 2000, we finished at home maybe 8 or 9 times. Never 2 at home. But usually had 2 road games before the last game.

They are….but, they don’t get to play against themselves, the others do, so that’s factored into the math.

Except for home/road, there are only three total games that differ from the rest of the division.

Phil: Buf, TB, Rams
Wash: Mia, Atl, Sea
Dal: Jets, Car, Ari
NY: NE, NO, SF

Weekly rankings is modern Jazz/crap for media pundits.

Strength of schedule since it is a term pulled from college where NCAA teams could pick their non conference games usually the early season games. NFL has no such ability, we can sit here right now and know who 14 of our 17 seasonal opponents will be for the next 25 years.

I really start paying attention to this kinda opponent strength stuff after Turkey Day.
Just one of them Parcells observations I always agreed with him saying post Thanksgiving is when ya really find out what kind of team ya have.
In a year to year league I pay closer attention as the months get colder.

I mean it's funny though how much hype that goes into a team 3 weeks into a season, they have 3 straight wins "oh man could they go to the superbowl oh my gosh they look so great!" Let's see how they look as you said when it gets colder, not how you start, it's how you finish!
