i think him and Dana are pissed at one another over the situation with the Middleweight Title.

When he beat Bisping a couple years ago it was supposed to have made him the #1 contender, and given him a title shot.

Instead White signed Vitor and gave him the shot at the title. Hendo, from what I understand, refused to resign after that cause White broke his word.

Of course then Vitor had to pull out, last minute, with injury and that led to that awful fight where Anderson Silva simply clowned Mia for 5 rounds.

As I understand it, it all came down to money, not any sort of beef between Dana and Dan.

Dan simply wanted more money than Dana was willing to pay him, and Strikeforce offered him something like $800,000 per fight. Easy decision.

Dana has said multiple times that he likes Dan, and he's not the type to say he likes someone for the sake of politics.

Dan, however, was one of the bigger names to say that he thought Zuffa's purchase of Strikeforce was bad news.

Im conflicted on Dana. On one hand, its great to have a young, charismatic leader of the brand who is transparent and communicative.

On the other I think he holds them back sometimes from garnering mainstream acceptance. He should sign whatever deal ESPN throws at him to get their backing. As it is now ESPN has zero interest in the sport.

Make it a short deal if you must, so you can get the platform and cash in on FOX, or HBO.

I wouldn't say they have zero interest. They do have an MMA live show and stuff. They cover it. So there is interest there.

And I'm sure the main deal with Dan was over money but I do remember either reading an interview from him, or seeing one (can't recall now) where he mentioned he felt very disrespected that the title shot was yanked from him and given to Vitor instead.
