CBS Bouts:

- Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers
- Jake Shields vs. Jason "Mayhem" Miller (for the vacant Middleweight title)
- Gegard Mousasi vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou
- Fabricio Werdum vs. Antonio Silva

Preliminary Bouts:

- Roxanne Modafferi vs. Marloes Coenen
- Mark Miller vs. Deray Davis
- Christian Uflacker vs. Jonatas Novaes
- Shamar Bailey vs. John Kolosci
- Louis Taylor vs. Nate Moore
- Jeff Curran vs. Dustin Neace

Werdum-Silva is going to be an interesting matchup.

I feel bad for Sokoudjou (or I would if he wasn't such a d-bag) because he's going to either get brutally knocked out, or have a kimura slapped on.

Shields-Miller will be interesting because of Shields ground skills against Miller who is hard to submit.

Fedor should completely destroy Rogers, but we'll see. Maybe Rogers will miraculously catch him.

Fedor won.

Good fight. Rogers bloodied up Fedor pretty good and was able to avoid submissions. It was pretty obvious that Rogers' size/strength was a bit much for Fedor. Rogers eventually tired out though and was caught with a vicious shot to end his night. All in all, Rogers fared a lot better than most could've reasonably expected.

Rogers fought scared and should have let his hands go. I know he is fighting the best fighter in the world, but Rogers definitely laid an egg. Fedor was the aggressor standing up where Rogers should have had an advantage. Rogers did not fair well at all.

Was a better fight then I thought it would be. What a shot by Fedor.

Why would you say Rogers had the advantage? Because of size and reach?
Fedor is much quicker and has freakish reaction speed. I thought Fedor had the advantage in the stand up (and obviously the ground game).

Sokoudjou looked great against Mousasi, dude came to fight. He just fought a better fighter.

Fedor is not refined in his striking ability at all. He throws loopy punches which could easily be countered if Rogers would have thrown straights and jabs because of his length. Fedor can take an enormous amount of punishment and has the greatest chin I have ever seen in any sport, but opponents have hit him before. Fedor's weakness is definitely his stand up and he doesn't have freakish reaction speed.

Fedor does throw loopy punches, but he punches so fast is ridiculous. Fedor beat CroCop when CropCop was in his prime. CroCop throws straight punches, but Fedor was able to beat him at his own game. Fedor outstruck him when they were on their feet. I don't think Fedor has a weakness other than that he gets cut easily. Also, he is at a disadvantage size wise with all of the Heavyweights getting so big now. But a straight punch is usually going to land better than a loopy punch. So you are right about that. I just wouldn't say that Fedor's stand up is a weakness. He punches too fast and too hard and he moves too well for me to say that.
