Great defenses are known for players that play over and above what is called of them. Parcells constructed this thing the way he thought it would work out. It may still but at this point there a few weak spots. Here are the strengths.

Anthony Henry - leads the team in tackles with 25 after 5 games. Most corners do not do this. Anthony tackles exceptionally well for a corner. He fits the bill.

Roy Williams- Roy does things that safeties just dont do. He is like a linebacker out there. We arent speaking about weaknesses here so the covering skills arent in question right now.

Terrence Newman - A very very good corner, bordering on a greatness. He doesnt get the credit that he should because no one passes to his side so his interceptions arent as high as some others. He will soon though. You cant play like that for too long without people starting to notice. In my opinion by next year some will say he is the best cover corner in the league. When I say some, I mean NFL scouts.

Kevin Burnett - a linebacker with very good covering skills. He used to play safety in college so that would tell us why he can do this. He has helped our nickel alot.

Where Parcells hopes things are corrected in the future.

Ware - a linebacker who can get to the quarterback on any given down. This is what we are missing. If he can get better and grow into his potential it will help us alot.

Canty and Spears - 3-4 ends arent supposed to get to the QB - If these guys can start doing that along with Ware getting to where I thought he should be now, we are going to be in business.

He plays pretty good pass defense too. Henry has been our best player on defense, but won't go to the Pro Bowl if he doesn't start holding on to those INT's he's been dropping. In fact, I don't think he ever had control of that one against the Texans, but he got credit for it.

This game against the Giants is the key to our season. Hope we play like it.

You're right. What was I thinking?

Henry's only been our best DB.;)

Frankly, I think it's been Roy.:D

There are better mushroom pictures out there.
TNew has been our best DB for several years now- since Woody left.

Maybe Burnett should play safety and Roy Williams should play linebacker.

I think Ware will continue to develope and thrive in this defense..Roy/Newman/Henry have played well thus far.

3-4 Dlineman are not suppose to get sacks? but they should at least collapse the pockett!!! and not allow the QB to step up into the pocket... the Cowboys do not do this on a consistant basis!!!
