We won't hit on both. Which would you rather have? I would go D line. I don' think too many safety's would look all pro behind our line. Something tells me Jerry goes safety. The reason I say we can't hit on both is because we suck at drafting safeties.......

DL all the way. I think we have some potential at S but we have a bare counter on the DL. As 1981 says, a good D-line can cover for a mediocre secondary. I do think our secondary is above average but they could not stay in coverage for several seconds every play like last year and expect to be successful.

The DL is without a doubt our weakest position. We need an influx of talent and youth.

easiest question of the day, and I am likely to get asked "what do you want for lunch?" by Mrs Fredd and THAT is an easy one!

DL, and more DL

What's it going to be then, eh?

Is this a trick question?

The correct answer is DL.

Absolutely. And "stud safeties" are rare. There are about four tops in the league right now. The rest all have limitations. To me, a "stud safety" can do it all, both cover and support the run. The rest are better in one area over another and many of those are not even exceptional against the pass.

Clinton-Dix and Pryor are good players, but I would not put either in the same class as some of the other first round safeties in the past few years.

Pryor in particular looks more limited the more I have studied his play.

Do not get me wrong, I would happily take either over our dumpster fire back there right now.

We don't SUCK at drafting safteys. In any case Dallas needs a rotation on the line and a solid starter or 2 would be just what we need. Last seasons scrubs need a major upgrade. We eliminated the old declining players so an infusion is A1.

Assuming both the prospective safety and d-lineman possess equal capabilities, I'd go with the d-lineman.

A good d-lineman will render your incumbent safety more effective by exerting pressure on the QB to fail.

I like Pryor and Dix but no way i wouldn't go dline. Look how the giants and others won the Super Bowl because of it

Considering that mid-round and lower round picks are the only picks that have been used for the safety position over the last few years, it is hard to judge how good the team is at evaluating safety prospects. It is clear that they have not found any hidden gems with the later round picks, but those are usually a gamble anyway. If they wasn't , they would be first round prospects. There has not been any serious resources spent in fixing the safety position in years , so Jerry must not consider the position a priority.

Yes, Dix and Pryor would be 2nd round picks in many of the past drafts, IMO.

I'd settle for "Stays healthy" and "can start all 16 games"
