Stuff I learned today

I always thought it was funny when people called weed a "gateway drug." Most people I’ve seen on weed are sitting around laughing, eating snacks, and having a conversation about something completely random. Offer them a harder drug or some dumb idea and there’s a decent chance the response is, “Nah, I’m good.”

Alcohol, on the other hand...

“Hold my beer.”

Weed is a gateway to popcorn, M&Ms, and Ding Dongs.

Was watching the most dangerous geographic features in all 50 states on Youtube. Some interesting ones I never knew about. Especially Lake Okechobee, the largest fresh water lake in Florida. Lived in Florida for years and never realized it's a shallow water bowl that rarely gets more than 8 ft deep and just waiting for a high speed hurricane to come through and blow the water out over the levees and flood all the nearby towns. Last time it happened was 1920's and killed thousands.

The nearly successful 2024 fraudulent sale of Graceland shows just how serious home fraud has become - stopped just 24 hours before the auction, it took a full 3 months for the authorities to find the culprit. Learn how the scam works, who is most at risk, what protections you may already have, and the free steps you can take to protect your home.

VALENCIA, Calif. (Gray News) — Two women suffered catastrophic brain injuries on a Six Flags roller coaster this summer, according to a new investigation from CNN.

The injuries reportedly occurred on the X2 roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California.

X2 is known for its extreme thrills, featuring seats that rotate independently, flipping riders head over heels in unpredictable sequences. The ride is widely regarded as one of the most intense roller coasters in the world.

But according to CNN, in the span of less than a week this July, two riders suffered life-threatening brain hemorrhages that resulted in emergency surgery.
