I knew they would try mightily to sweep their blatantly premature overreaction under the proverbial rug. I haven't heard a whisper of rebuttal since the audio from the Dez sideline collabo came out. It figures that the jellyfish wouldn't have it in them to eat their heaping plates of crow. Sad really... Dez is a wonderfully talented passionate maturing young man. He didn't deserve any of the crap he got immediately following that game.

I look forward to this weekend because, as much as they prefer to ignore it, the subject will come up during the pregame shows. I can't wait to hear the lovely sound of collective backpedaling.

on the contrary, I heard a guy on ESPN radio from CBS Sports talking about how his comments about Dez may have been premature, but that he still stands behind it because he was probably right about the later outburst anyway. I'm sure if that were proven wrong, they'd just find some other way to vindicate themselves.

Sports writers are an obnoxious lot.

Agree X 1000000

I avoid ESPN, NFLN, FOXSP and anything this week. I wont watch the pregame this week just to avoid hearing that garbage. I bet Irvin will let it be known that this whole subject is absurd.

Thank god that low-class Tate did something far more disgusting.

I seriously doubt many of them will man up and admit they spoke before knowing all the facts. Some will, most won't.

I avoid all television football talking heads, especially don't care to get political lectures from Costas during a game. I turn on and listen to the local radio while watching the game with sound off.

I tweeted that night when Tom Jackson whipped out the "Give me the d*mn ball" comment. "(badword) @TomJackson57 for making the Keychain/TO comparison. Another case of @espn trying to manufacture a story that is not there."

This was even before I'd heard the audio. You just KNEW that ESPN would try to stretch this out, put it on every show for the whole next week and then rehash it the next time Dallas loses or Dez is on camera looking anything but gleeful.

Oh... lawd. Dont even get me started on Bob. I cant believe that he is able to use his platform for such political grandstanding. Its not that I disagree or agree with him but he needs to leave his political agenda at home.

lol

Dez is just like your boy, T.O. Remember him?

But, one was for himself, where Dez's passion comes for the team. The rest of the team knows that.

A picture tells a thousand words, and in this case, the word was "what up"! That is who Dez is. Fire the team up...that is all he was trying to do. Win a damn game!

There were several NFL players tweeting today defending Dez, and denouncing the media.

I can't WAIT to hear those clowns that share the set with Keyshawn backpedal. No matter how small the segment is, it will be well worth a reply.

Agree on Irvin...... Just like going across the middle, knowing a hit is coming, he will take it on.

Is Dez a bad person? No.
Is Dez a toxic divider like T.O.? No.
Can Dez's emotions, if channelled help the team? Yes
Can players yelling on the sidelines help? Occasionally
Does the team need to find ways to get Dez more balls? Yes.
Did Tony have time to throw vertical balls accurately into double coverage? Only on a few plays Sunday.
Are the critics correct in saying that Dez's outburst was distracting and immature? Yes.

It was never the first outburst that people criticized. It was the second...and clearly Ware and Witten had to fight to get the kid's head back in the game.

What did Golden Tate do? I missed it.

He scored a touchdown and acted like had had no class whatsoever. The Seahawks won the game.
You know thats what he was asking. Grow up.

I completely disagree with your last Q/A. Otherwise, it makes sense.
