Stupid Question

For anyone that's been to training camp, I have a question. What's up with the practice pants situation? From the pictures/video I see, some guys have the regular pants on while some rock the white Thanksgiving pants. Do they have a choice or are we just short on regular pants?

I thought white pants was for the players (rookies) who haven't earned their stars.

At least that was my understanding.

The white pants are for those warriors who are pure of heart and noble in their goals.
