Great work as always Bob.

A few comments...

Escobar is a better player than he gets credit for being, IMO. I wonder if Jimmy Graham would have gotten many snaps if he was drafted by the Cowboys to play behind Witten considering that he is not blocking type TE. Not saying that Escobar is Jimmy Graham, but it's a similar concept to consider.

I'm not sure I would have gone for the long gain on that 3rd and 6 after the 1st and 30 but it was fun when it worked.

I think Dak is more accurate that it even appears. IMO, some throws where it appears that he was not accurate are actually imprecise routes by WRs. Dak seems to be the most accurate when throw to Beasley who just happens to be the most accurate route runner.

I'm sure you know this, but comparing the total yards is great for comparing to other current teams but comparing to teams like the Aikman Cowboys is not really fair.. The NFL just wasn't as much of a passing league back then.

I hope you don't mind if I quote your chart. IMO this chart shows what happens when teams start to feel like the underdogs when playing against the Cowboys. I said recently that I expect teams to start pulling out all the stops and going with risky game plans in all three phases. The chart shows that opponent defenses are going to higher risk game plans.

Escobar also whiffed on a block that left Suggs unblocked who blasted Zeke behind the line of scrimmage

Any way to cut and paste the whole write up? When I hit the link, it won't let me read the article without signing up for the DMN... If not, no biggie. Thanks for your efforts!

That's true.

Adjusting for era, a 400-yard game in this decade is the equivalent of...
10's: 400
00's: 372
90's: 361
80's: 376
70's: 339

And the era-adjusted consecutive 400-yard games list looks like this:
11 Rams 2000
8 Cowboys 2016
8 Broncos 2013
8 Patriots 2007
8 49ers 1998
7 Chargers 1982
7 Dolphins 1975
7 Cowboys 1978

/QUOTE]

I expect the skins will probably be between Pitt and Bal on the blitz percentage...unless of course Dak makes them pay for it early.
