They're not very good against the run.

I submit they are quite good against the run - especially at home. But, not off a 3-week sample size, but rather over the last several seasons. There are problems with reputation-based opinions, but I think SF is not an easy front to deal with on the ground and expected no Dez to cause even more issues.

always a great break down for the average reader to get a handle on. No flashy writing or showing off, good concise work. Makes us appreciate the level of the NFL even more.

whats SF ranked on run defense before this game btw? apparently they were good?

They were bottom third of the league, generally, but in a small sample. They did well against Gurley in week one, and then struggled a bit v. SEA before they played us, but when I watched them play this week, they looked pretty stout, generally. They just got out maneuvered and worked over eventually.

Dallas has got to use it more often. I know EE is a rookie and the better he gets, we will. I just hope Garrett will say "shove the damn ball down their throats, we got a great stable to use"

Pretty sure that's the plan when we can. Unless the team has a massive front that we can't just dig out. It'll be interesting to see how we match up against PHI and then again against NY later in the season. Our offense really is difficult to stop when you have to load the box and your QB doesn't miss anybody down field. We haven't really even seen them flex the RBs out against run personnel all that much yet, but you know that's something we're going to do with Tony in the lineup. Run at you, get you to commit to stopping the run, and then put that personnel in a passing set and let Tony get the ball out to Elliott/Dunbar/Beasley/Whitehead in space. It'll be a nice change of pace to pounding the ball.

i would be all for that, but I dont think Romo gets us the ring this year. Now thats opinion. To me, let Dak run the offense and get the experience and again, look to next season because after 20 plus bad years, I want us to take this moment and turn it into a bright future thats attainable. All Romo brings us now is, "same ol same ol" and that would be ok if we had no one behind him. This year we have someone behind him and someone we can look into the future with.

We most likely lose McFadden. EE, Morris, Jackson or Dunbar, or all 4 should be the backbone. Just use this season to set up how we want to look next season and get all the kinks out with the guy we have a future with. Anything less than the lombardi is just "where you land in the draft" we are not getting the lombardi so i say "lets set ourselves up better to win it next year" The offense will be set, bring in some defense and work them in and get ready to make a huge push for the SB. I think thats way more attainable than dreaming we can do it this year.

Massive holes. Most competent rbs are going to be fed and effective with this kind of blocking.

It was nice to see Bob acknowledge that.
