We are awful at blitzing. DB telegraph their intent way to early. Scandrick is the only one of the DB that blitz well.
Agreed. Every time we blitz it looks like the intent is for every blitzer to run directly into a blocker and lock them up. Surely this is something they could practice and get better at? ;)

How many years has Carr been in the league? Four others are playing zone and Carr is playing man coverage. I hope Marinelli didn't call that coverage. Even with the pay cut, Carr is still grossly overpaid for what he does on the field. But, hey, he does a lot of charity work off the field.

Carr will play a Zone and one usually taking the big physical receivers. Give him the right match ups and he can play.

I heard broaddus crediting jack crawford for the hurry on the final 4th down play but when you actually watch it it is tyron crawford who beat his guy inside and forced gabbert off his spot. I don't think gabber ever even realized jack crawford almost had a pressure.
I saw that too. It was good effort by jack but im not sure that Gabbert saw him - Crawford was closer

Well, OK, I'm all for trotting out Carr when the opponent is a big physical WR (i.e. slow) and the coverage is zone. Otherwise, put him on the bench where he belongs.

Then again, I don't even think Carr can cover TEs. So, I'm not sure he can even cover big, physical WRs. Might be why he gives them the ten yard cushion.

Carr has played Jackson of the Skins/Eagles and defended him well. It's the match up that counts. He does not play Beckham well. Nor would I put him on someone like Beasley.

Mo turned the corner last year but apparently nobody was looking.

He missed 5 whole games last season and parts of a couple others.

He obviously has talent, however, hasn't been able to stay healthy.

Hopefully this is the year he can play all season.

I hope there are no more posts suggesting the Cowboys blitz more.
They have to blitz sometimes to just have something for film.

But in general, we don't do it well. At all. Probably because we don't practice it well.
