The big surprise, so far, for this defense has been Claiborne. He is playing solid in the secondary. Carr, Church and Wilcox are average guys who should be happy to be on the field. Perhaps they can step up their play with the additions of McClain and Hardy.

If you think back to last year, we had so many key turnovers. Teams would be driving and then a turnover would save the day. It makes total sense that this looks like last year but without the turnovers. McClain, Hardy, Gregory, Lee that is who makes the difference. Jones playing on the TE should help as well. We haven't been burned too badly by TE's this year, but this week will be the real test.

I don't think anybody is lamenting the loss of Bruce Carter, however, he did lead the league last year in interceptions by a LB and led the Cowboys overall.

I just want to bump this thread right now with all this Zoner blaming.

Today we had at least 2 more missed ones. Short fields win you games. Defensive scores do as well. We are on track for so few turnovers it's actually quite unluckly. Just to cut you "what's wrong with our conditioning program" responses: This is luck.

We've literally rolled snake-eyes on injuries and turnovers.

Not that a takeaway would have made any difference today, but Dallas is now 1-21 in its last 22 games when the defense doesn't get a takeaway.
