'IN THE HISTORY OF PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL RECORD KEEPING, NO TEAM HAS EVER HAD FEWER TAKEAWAYS THAN THE 2015 DALLAS COWBOYS'...and just two seasons ago, this defense was nothing beyond futile.

Instantly, Twitter exploded with people wanting to cut Brandon Carr on the spot as he has officially become a decisive player amongst the fan base with his large contract and lack of substantial plays to confirm the wisdom in that signing back in 2012. I am not in that camp, and have actually enjoyed his run support in 2015 which I think is much improved, but there are times where he is uninspiring in coverage.

Sorry bob, but Dallas isn't paying Carr 50 million for his run support!!

Interesting point about the shift to more of a man focus this year and how they basically looked like they forgot how to play zone as a side effect.

I agree. But, you need a corner to play 1000 snaps without being repeatedly attacked and exposed. I would say overall, Carr is seldom the focus of the opposition's game plan to attack. That speaks some volumes.

In other words, you can do way better than Brandon Carr (especially for the price). But, you can also do way worse than him.

That is something that should be recognized. No chance people would really "rather have anyone out there but Carr." That simply isn't a reasonable opinion. 84 balls thrown at him in 1,072 snaps is not an abnormal number of balls.

Hi Bob, I'm curious if you have had some time to scan through pending free agents to see if there are some corners that may be a good fit for Marinelli's scheme. I'm sure he would like to get some guys that can better execute what he wants from his corners. I'll hang up and listen.

If I'm the Cowboys, I'm asking Carr to rework his salary and ask him to consider moving to free safety....if neither one of those ideas are receptive to him, then I'd cut him...

They never really played zone well over the last few years, not just this year.

I do like the FS idea for him with Jones at SS....It could really become a true flip/flop where either one could play either position. We would need to stock up on CBs though.

This team can't go into next season with either, Church, Wilcox or Heath starting at safety..

I believe if Dallas doesn't take a QB with their first pick(if Goff is there, I'd take him), which I can't see Jerry doing, I think Corner back would be very high on that list of selection
