"Uncharacteristically"?

I don't think it's in his character to do anything but protect himself by shirking responsibility, so characteristically or uncharacteristically when it comes to someone else is irrelevant unless it helps him in the former.

Ouch, a well said and terrifying indictment I wish I could argue against...

Love this from Sturm:

"Meanwhile, after the game, Garrett uncharacteristically did not protect his QB to the media. This can be described as the scramble for the available life jackets and boats that always occur when people know their time is short. "

If I could metaphorically hold him under the water somehow, I would

Is it at all possible that this loss, as with every single other win and/or loss, was a combination of many aspects and not just one of the defense, Romo, the play calling/game management? I mean, is there really any way that's possible? Does a team win/lose in one aspect of the game any/every time?

It's a great article by Sturm. No, he doesn't mention the defense, because as someone else pointed out, he has a column dedicated solely to that. Some of you guys...

Just like we have separate threads dedicated to separate topics, authors can do the same. Not mentioning the defense doesn't mean he doesn't think they deserve any blame, it's just not what his subject was this time.

LOL, what a lame "analysis". Here's a trivia question for you, you've made 17 posts since yesterday's game, how many times have you mentioned our historically bad NFL defense? Oh wait, I forget... since we know they're bad, they get no blame. What a joke.

Funny how you actually feel the need to count how many posts I've made since yesterday.

How many times did you credit the defense for helping build that 26-3 lead?

Sturm said it perfectly, expecting that the defense was all of the sudden going to be good because they played well in the first half was foolish. It was Romo's job to close out the game and he would rather just keep throwing the ball instead of running the clock out. And when we had the chance to go up by a lot more in the first half, we kept throwing the ball.

But, nothing is ever Romo's fault. The guy throws a pick on 2nd and 6 when we were running the ball with ease and needed to run the clock out. But, that's not his fault because you're completely blind. Just another lemming drinking the Romo supporter Kool-Aid.
