Third down conversions,,,, now that's the stat you want to lead in. Of course, this stat is a precursor to the conversion stat (of which Dallas was 10th last year).

However, those don't capture big play percentage offensively and defensively, so they don't apply to some teams.

And most importantly, a huge percentage of stats in general occur when games are already decided, so they skew reality anyway.

The eyes and brain know what they see.

I prefer the wins and losses stat. If you score more points than your opponent you win.

Exactly. It was amazing how few 3rd downs they seemed to have in a lot of their games. Moving the chains stress free.
