Do you have any Cowboy memorabilia that set you back 6+ grand??? This is America and people have freedom of choice but $6000+ watches just seem like a waste of money when there are so many people who could be helped with that money. I am not trying to start a debate or get political but I just think a lot different than the OP when it comes to money. I have a REAL good job and make a lot of it but I would not waste it on a piece of jewelry except maybe a wedding ring. Twenty two+ years ago when I bought a wedding ring I may have spent that much in today's money but that was a symbol for a forever relationship which that "forever" has lasted almost 23 years and I do not see it ending anytime soon but that means a lot more than a watch. To each their own but I would feel guilty. Heck, I even drive a really old vehicle with a lot of miles even though I could afford much more because I feel guilty splurging on myself. I would rather give to people who need it which is why I believe I was BLESSED with it in the first place. I could say a whole lot more but would be in danger of overstepping the forum religious guidelines.

Dude, if you're so buthurt about a six grand watch, you should check out the company that the Cowboys sponsor, Hublot. This little darling below will set you back a cool $300,000.

If I can't drive, fly or take it out on the water then for $300k I don't want it. I forgot about living in it.

I don't have ANYTHING that has set me back 6k outside of my home and cars... that being said I DO have Cowboys memorabilia worth that much. I bought most of it 30+ years ago...

The Movado I suggested cost me $365 at the outlet store... my wife talked me in to it. I normally wear $100 watches...

Not sure your diatribe was directed at me?

Not at you rather at the OP!!! Diatribe might be a tab bit of a strong statement for what I said.!!!!! If the OP has money to burn that money could go to a lot better uses than jewelry for himself!!!!;)

$300,000 for anything you can't live in is stupid. (and you cannot live in a sports car either)

Plus it's ugly.

There is nothing about that watch that's even worth $5,000. A top notch watch (IMO) isn't worth more than $3,000. (the extreme craftsmanship is what gives it it's true value) When you start putting gold and stuff like that on it. It's not the "watch" itself that is higher value, it's the material it's made from.

My watch is stainless steel. I would never buy a gold/platinum/diamond watch of extremely high quality. (like Rolex, etc) That's doing nothing but adding insult to injury. If you want a great watch; buy one, but don't punch yourself in the nuts at the same time.

I like SS. Gold is too heavy and nicks too badly. It's not a daily wearer. They are fine as a WOW but not practical. But if you like it then great. I like older Swiss automatics. Omega, Breitling, IWC and others are great. I used one is fine and a there are plenty of others. I like older Swiss no longer made. Oris is good. Plenty more.

I love the EcoCitizen allow the battery does need to be changed eventually. The Casio is better with functions but not a pretty watch. I like the Nighthawk and there are some dress watches.

I don't look at the more expensive watches. I do have a basic Rolex DayDate. I love the Daytona and the DeepSea and Yachtmasters are great watches.
