Suddenly, can't get here with my VPN turned on

Suddenly, I now get this when I have my VPN turned on. I've have a VPN for well over a decade with zero issues here.

Might need to find a different server on your vpn. I’m not a tech guy so I could be way off but sites will block certain VPN IPs that are known to have a lot of bots/spam attached to them.

See my post above. I've already mentioned what is most likely the cause. Reality has likely blocked all subnets from whatever VPN service you are using in an attempt to blanket block bad actors that use that VPN service for their criminal activities.

So, don't blame Reality, blame the threat actors using the same VPN service you are using. Reality is just trying to protect CBZ from those threat actors and the side effect is you can't use your VPN service while using CBZ.

Your options are find another VPNs service that isn't blocked, or create your own VPN service that doesn't share the same IP subnet blocks that those VPN services use.

That is bot blocking. Reality is likely preventing unwanted bots (some are wanted) and AI bot that are gathering content to train models on. The VPN block is a different category of site blocking.

This site has been getting hammered lately by AI bots, which is why it has been slow at times.

During those periods it can top 100,000 bots on the site at the same time (and no, I'm not exaggerating).

Cloudflare is used to counter those attacks and that means in some cases networks, including VPNs, which includes Apple's own built-in proxy/VPN-like service (I think its iCloud Private something), will sometimes get blocked due to bad actors using those networks to attack sites.

Your safest and most reliable way to access this site is with your own IP as its not shared by thousands or more devices every day so it is less likely to trigger any defenses, blocks, red flags, etc.

VPNs are used heavily by foreign users and bots, good and bad, to bypass US restrictions and unfortunately the bad users/bots are going to abuse those services until eventually most of them are blocked by most sites and services.
