Was Tuesday just a slow night and no one had anything to say or are people really just in denial?

-We have dropped 3 of our last 4 games.
-Two of these losses were IN our house versus the Saints and Eagles (1 for 2nd -seed and the Eagles for the division)
-Statistically our rushing attempts are dropping and Romo along with the OLine are looking more and more human each week.
-JJ is still "pile-seeking" and even MBIII is struggling (a la Lions game and the notable goal line situation versus the Eagles - some dumb play calls... yes).

I dont wanna be "Debbie the Downer" but I would like to knock some people down a notch so no one ends up jumping off a building if we are disappointed in the next few weeks to come.

I personally believe we have the talent to take us where we want to end up this year but in no way has our team (as a whole from top to bottom) shown us in the past month that we can really win it all.

Not only did we lose to a 2-win team but we gave up 39 points. We lost 2 HUGE "playoff - like" games versus the Eagles and the Saints in our place (maybe we are lucky we have road post-season games?).

As I said before though but should be repeated... this team has the talent to make things happen but there has been zero evidence in the past month of it - teams need to heat up at the right time and I sure hope we can heat up for a 2nd time after going cold in Decemeber.

The latent optimism is based on our opponent. The Seahawks are underwhelming, underachieving, and riddled with injuries in key positions, hence Dallas has a puncher's chance. That said, they are better than Detroit.

Sounds like us minus the "riddled with injuries" part.

Seattle can say we have zero run game... zero pass rush... and zero coverage ability.

I'll alert the press immediately.

ESPN has already reminded us of this several times this week on each program they air.

As for your sarcasm... thats just something losers do to bring winners down to their level. (Name the movie for +1 points).

On a serious note however - Great enlightening post. We are now smarter for reading it.

Is this about the seahawks who also have lost 3 of their last 4? Dallas like the other playoff teams have a chance to start a new season. How we play from here on out will determine everything.

funny you don't start a thread complaining about the 101 threads about t.new sucking, parcells is a loser and Romo isn't what we thought he was. Instead you seem to grab onto 4 positives and try to take that away. No thanks I don't like pee on my cheerios, now let some of us be optismistic and realisistic and stop complaining. Lest you complain about every other redundant thread that happen to agree with. good day to you

As for the thread topic, I posted this in another thread...

Sometimes you're so myopic in your point of view, or your support for the Cowboys, that you fail to see the rest of the goings on in the NFC.

The Cowboys have played badly going into the playoffs, we can all agree on that. So if you think it's impossible for a team to win the conference without having some sort of significant momentum going into the playoffs, you better be ready to accept the Philly Eagles as your Super Bowl representative in the NFC.

Because there are NO OTHER NFC teams on any significant roll. The Boys and Hawks have lost 3 of 4. The Bears have been mediocre the last half of the season, squeaking by DET and losing to GB. The Saints lost two of their last 3, one without their starters... how much momentum can they have? The Giants? Yeah their one win to end the season to get them to two wins in the last 8 hardly = momentum.

So are you ready to accept the Jeff Garcia led Eagles as the Super Bowl rep? If not, IMO you have to accept the fact that Dallas has a chance.
