Who cares we arent signing one. We will roll with Gallimore, Hill, Urban, Woods, Watkins at DT rotation. We may see a draft pick of a DT to add to competition. But we are done in FA at the DT position. So pointless to speculate or dream of anything.

Kind of how I feel too. I'd add corner to that too. No matter how many corners or DT's that are available.....Cowboys aren't looking at them.

I’m not saying we had to get Suh

but what I will say is if we don’t upgrade what we have, we’re gonna get our faces caved in all year again in the run cause these current DTs we have ain’t it.

And if that happens, Surtain/Horn won’t make much of a difference at all

I think Daquan Jones is still out there. He's 30 but he's been good against the run. Seen no evidence the Cowboys have interest though.

They might get lucky will a one technique taken in the draft at 75 or 99.

Cowboys were never going to sign a single decent free agent. They like to cover all their holes with $2-4 million dollar players instead of targeting a couple of holes with $10 million dollar players. Same ****, different year.

I think it is obvious by now the Cowboys simply do not value the big widebody defensive tackle. I would love if someone in the media would ask Jerry what is the Cowboys philosophy when it comes to DT. But every year we watch a few games and conclude they need to get stronger in the middle and every year the Cowboys ignore the position. I keep hearing that journeyman, rotational DE Brent Urban is going to move inside and become an all-pro run stuffing DT after 7 years in the league, but I am not buying it.

And, it is not just stuffing the run either, they need a push and a rush in the middle of the line as well. Giving a QB, even a guy like Daniel Jones, a clean pocket to throw from makes the entire defense look bad.

Exactly, but some fans think that the results will differ.

Not if he expects 7 million a season still. That is also the reason he was released.

Urban is going to be the "starting" 1T. I don't know what's so confusing about this to people.
Me neither lol. Probably a mid-round pick added to the mix but probably won’t win the “starting” job. Also, people act like this isn’t a 2 down position. Urban isn’t playing 90% of the defensive snaps and Woods is there as a solid backup.

Yeah. Unlikely he's going to get that. Sure won't from Dallas.

Maybe his price drops the longer he's sitting. He'd be a good fit for a short contract.

Yeah, the cowboy 'brain trust' sees no reason to be strong up the middle on D.

Though I have never wanted anything to do with Suh ever since what happened with Gurode.

Good reason to think they changed their minds on the value of DT last year *before* the season started.
McCoy, Poe, and Gallimore all added. More than they've *tried* to add at DT since forever.
