Suh doesn't have an acting career ahead of him.

If he had just looked back and done an "oh, whoops, was that your leg?" the league probably wouldn't have been able to punish him. To not even look back after stepping on a leg and getting pushed away makes it extremely obvious.

The best part of this response by the NFL is that they have removed any element of intent from the charges. Suh won't be able to claim ignorance in his appeal, the case rests on the undeniable prima-facie evidence of the incident not whether or not the a player was intentionally trying to hurt another.

Taking a step results in putting your weight down on one foot and lifting the other. I'm fine with him being suspended just didn't think you could determine that he did it with intent

I guess it's a matter of opinion but, to me, there is no doubt it was intentional.

The Detroit Lions should've been the first to step up.

Bush league, IMO.

For a season? He isn't going to be suspended for a season unless he does something off the field like Ray Rice or if he intentionally injures someone to the point where that player is in the hospital and misses a lot of games. A few games yes but a season no way.

Haynesworth was suspended 5 games for what he did to Gurode, In the case of Suh it has been numerous incidents where he has done these type of acts and yet continues. 1 or 2 games suspension does not seem to matter to him, fining him does not matter. Will the league do it? Chances are no what I said is I would do it because BS like that does not belong in this league. You think 1 game will change his behavior when it has yet to change it?

You can't be serious. He tried to take out a top QB. Blatantly obvious.

I am quite serious.

I really didn't think they would because he's a star defensive player, on a team in the playoffs trying to make noise.

I really figured they'd let him slide on this because of him being a star player about to play in the playoffs.

Scum bag.

This isn't the first time Suh has had issues with Green Bay. He was suspended for two games in 2011 after stomping on the arm of then-Packers center Evan Dietrich-Smith. Suh was also fined $100,000 last season for an illegal low block on Minnesota center John Sullivan.

He has been fined for roughing up Cincinnati's Andy Dalton, Chicago's Jay Cutler, then-Houston quarterback Matt Schaub and then-Cleveland quarterbacks Jake Delhomme and Brandon Weeden.

While I agree that Suh did this on purpose and it's dirty let's not try and compare stepping on a guys leg, uncomfortable as it might be, to stomping on a guys head/face multiple times.

They're not really even remotely the same in terms of the violence and the clear intent to do serious harm.

Plus, the refs in the upcoming game need to be reminded that Detroit is a dirty team and that they should pay special attention to late hits on Romo (just maybe, late hits/takedowns on Romo will be flagged for once)

Looks like the NFL made the right decision. If getting suspended for a playoff game isn't enough for him to want to clean his act up Suh really is hopeless.

Gurode had plastic surgery after that incident.
