I would take him over Sham Newton and most likely Stafford, Definitely Andy Dalton . Besides Luck and Matt Ryan (29 with much more talent around him), and maybeeeeeee Russel Wilson (Has had much better defense and run game), Tannehill is the guy.
Youll see, there are always late arrivals to the party.

When you don't have any offense or other marque names to attract fans and you have to satisfy NFL cap floor you might as well built your defense.
The cap floor will dramatically overvalue FAs. Good for players bad for fans and teams.

Poor Oakland if this is true. He is suppose to have a visit on Tuesday and have the money to sign him. Knowing our luck they will use that money to sign Murray and they need a wr so bad they probably give up two 1st rounds pick for Bryant. I don't know if I mind that since it would be in the top 5. Love to get Williams DT from USC but not at the expense of losing Dez.

I don't know why anyone is surprised by this. Watt got 52m guaranteed. And suh is every bit as good as Watt he just isn't as marketable because he... You know... Stomps on people.

I love Dez. But if he signed an Oakland deal I'd be in favor of letting him walk. As much as it'd pain me I'd prefer two top 5 picks and the cap space to go shopping.

You'd get him, another 1st rounder next year, and 12-15M in cap space the next few years to play around with too. Think of that trade as something like Dez for a top five pick this year, a top 10-15 pick next year, signing Greg Hardy, and signing a tier 2 WR, and it looks a lot better.

No team is dumb enough to give two 1st round picks for a WR, even one as good as Dez. Plus Oakland could probably land Amari Cooper in the draft.

Watt is worth more because he is an edge rusher which is critical in todays passing insane league.
