I came across this in last week's Star Mag. There's no link because it is subscription only, but he basically says that he likes Dez and no other receiver in the league would have scored on that great TD Monday night, but he drops too many passes and doesn't get enough separation. He says his game is the same as it was 2 years ago.

I agree that Dez is not perfect but he used to be accused of bad route running and I haven't heard that in a while so that's improvement right there. I think he gets a bad rap because sometimes Romo will hold the ball too long and just doesn't trust his receivers at times. It will be interesting to see if he and Weeden have any chemistry. I remember Kitna and Dez clicked very well. I'm not putting down Romo here; we are lucky to have him, let me make that clear. I just feel like when you have a talent like Dez, you find ways to get the ball to him.

Edit: For those who don't know it, Sully Bald Head is sports writer Jeff Sullivan.

Dez has improved.
Des is constantly improving and evolving in many ways.

Still... He needs to name those catches.
Great receivers get open.

Let's hope he is getting there.

If this is the type of garbage one gains access to by having a subscription- then I will gladly say no thank you to said subscription.

Obviously Dez has progressed - both on and off the field - and as a leader and a WR - in the last 2 years.

He needs to chill out a little bit. Dez is obviously taking a different role this year as being the second target of this offense behind Marco. Dez has been there and will always be there when we need it most.

I actually love the new Dez we are seeing. He is not being a typical diva wide receiver because he isn't getting as many looks as he is used to. I would say he's improving, and entering his prime!

I agree that he has improved. Just thought it was interesting that Sullivan can't see it over 2 years or as he put it "24 months."

Dez is quite productive, even when he isn't catching passes. A sports writer should be aware of this aspect of the game.

Dez is on a team where he's one of several weapons. I'd rather this than a situation like a Megatron or Larry Fitz where you need to force feed the ball.

Broaddus reported the skins game wasn't one of his better route running games.

Hard to show improvement and separation with your hands tied behind your back. Where are the specials that the coaching staff said would be there this season.......the bunch sets, the denver'esque quasi pick plays they run all game, Dez in motion, Dez occationally in the slot, .........Does the establishment of a excellent run game remove those from the playbook.

Its wouldn't be fair for opposing defenses if Dez were to get better

What a joke of an article

Good point. Witten, Beasley, Escobar, Williams, Harris. Lots of options so when Dez is doubled I can understand a QB considering his other receivers, but put the ball at the right height or in front of Dez and good things will happen.

This article came out because Dez had possibly his worst game last week.

The porblem with him is he has to consistently dominate these no-name, backup corners that he is put against 3-4 times a year. Sadly, he doesn't sem to really do that.

He is still a top 5 receiver if he doesnt improve any more. He has the potential to be the best one, though.

You need to see that seperation that doesnt seem to be there.

Just curious, why do you think Dez struggles against these scrubs? I can't put my finger on it.
