Romo didn't do anything wrong in going to Cabo. Really doubt he'd have completed another pass or not thrown that INT just because he didn't go to Cabo. Besides understand that the coaching staff, at least some members of it, knew about the upcoming trip and didn't have a problem with it. If Cowboys had won, the trip would quickly have become a non issue. Having said that, I do think Romo is learning that he's got a bullseye on his back & the media will always be watching what he does and who he dates.
The reality is that Romo has quickly become an extremely high profile NFL player. It comes with the territory of being the Dallas Cowboys franchise QB whose played at an extraordinary level in his 26 games as the starter. That so many football fans & analysts already consider him one of the top 5 QBs in the NFL despite not yet winning a playoff game also says a lot about the expectations he faces. His single status along with his likeable charismatic personality, good humor & quick/snappy response ito certain questions makes him a media dream interview. It also allows him to transcend the football & sports world to become a legit celebrity whether he wishes to or not. If you think he's hot now, just wait until he wins his first playoff game & his first Super Bowl.
BTW: Good interview. I've watched many QB interviews; most of them (think Eli) are so extremely boring. Sometimes I think colleges make a point of producing QBs without a personality. Romo comes across as genuine & funny--a guy you'd like to sit down with & talk about football for the rest of the afternoon over a couple of beers.
