When does this start, that Sunday night football can take a Syunday day game and move it to nights ? I think this Sunday night coming up is NE vs. Indy, so they won't be moving that.

With us becoming a hot rating riser this year I can see it happening to us at sometime...Any predictions ?

It starts in a couple of weeks. The Bears-Giants game looks as though it will be the first.

Correct sir.

If you check the calendar function here for the games, it tells you which ones can be switched and which can't.

I still need to get the throwback helmets done for the Thanksgiving and Christmas games though.

Yup they already moved that one. That'll be one to watch for sure.

For us there is the Indy game and our rematch against the Giants that might get some looks. I'd be surprised if we didn't get anything considering the ratings we get.

I love this new innovation. It keeps us from having to watch a snooze fest between two bad teams that were supposed to be good before the season started.

Well, if you have to make travel plans to see one of these games, then you may feel different.

I have actually made trips to Dallas on Saturday nights to watch Sunday afternoon games at Texas Stadium. My flights normally take me back home right after the game, and I am back at work on Monday morning.

If a game was shifted to Sunday night, I would be forced to pay a premium to change my flight plans, pay an extra night at a hotel, and possibly miss a half a day of work.

The NFL would face a lawsuit from me if a game that I made plans for was shifted, resulting in my paying extra to change my travel plans.

The NFL does not think about these things, because they only want you to support your local teams, or pay the price (Sunday Ticket, shuffling of travel plans, etc.). Hence, by NFL standards, I should be a Saints fan instead of a Cowboys fan.

I do gladly pay for my Sunday Ticket, but I also realize that I am paying a premium to watch a game that some hick is getting for free with bunny ears strapped to his TV.

Don't CBS and Fox have the right to veto a move to Sunday night? I'm sure CBS really doesn't want to lose a Cowboys' game.

I hear you...I'm travelling to Dallas to see the Colts game on the 19th. I got plane tix and the game tix well ahead of time (much sooner than the mentioned 2 week notice). If that game got moved it would alter my plans pretty heavily and cost me much more $.

My wife wanted me to give her a Sunday night between now and the end of December for a dinner party, and this "innovation" meant any single Cowboys game could get moved and interrupt plans. I finally figured out that we play a Saturday game early in December and picked that Sunday night. :)

I am in favor of the idea, but they should have had to make their selections by now.

How did Oakland get 2 MNF games and we got 1?

Unreal.

Because Sunday night became the big game for the NFL and Dallas got two of those.

What about the games to be broadcast on NFL Network starting T'Giving??

Are those games already determined, or are they flexible as well?

Remember how bad the Sunday night games used to be? Monday night is still better than that. Of course having Oakland go up against Seattle's backups is going to be horrible...that was a questionable decision, maybe one they made just so they can say they're doing something for the west coast fans..

There are only a couple of other games that seem MNF worthy and those were probably protected by FOX and CBS going into the season.

CBS already lost Indy at New England to NBC's Sunday night game so they got Cincy at Baltimore and Denver at Pittsburgh.

FOX lost the earlier matchup of Dallas and Washington to NBC, so there was no way they were going to let MNF get the re-match.

Atlanta at Detroit
Green Bay at Buffalo
Houston at N.Y. Giants
Kansas City at St. Louis
Miami at Chicago
New Orleans at Tampa Bay
Tennessee at Jacksonville
Minnesota at San Francisco
Cleveland at San Diego

Coming into the season the rest of these games probably did not look much better than Oakland at Seattle. At least they put in a team that was in the Superbowl last season.

After the ridiculous coverage ESPN gave our Monday night game, I say good riddance. I hope we never play another one (a forlorn hope I know) as long as they continue their over-the-top shenanigans instead of showing the game.
