Anthony Barr DE UCLA- IF Barr falls to 16 I think its all but guaranteed Jerry won't pass on him. Barr comes with a decent amount of ?'s as he's only been playing D for 2 years, but there's no denying his upside is through the roof. If he can continue to add weight and Marinelli can coach some technique into him he has the potential to lead the league in sacks. His physical tools are rare and justify using the #16 pick on him.

Allen Robinson WR Penn State- Robinson could be the next Boldin in my opinion. He's not the fastest guy in the world, but with a 6'2 220 lb frame and great hands he's very difficult to cover. He uses his strong body and long arms to out battle CB's for balls away from his body. Has a knack for flat out getting open shown by his great college production despite only mediocre QB play at PSU. Robinson wold never be available at 47 in most drafts, but a ridiculously deep WR class bumps him down.

Trai Turner G LSU- From a physical stand point Turner is right with any other guard in this draft class. His decision to come out early despite only starting for 1 year makes him a steal in the 3rd round. Entirely possible he could win a starting spot day 1 given his talent.

Caraun Reid DT Princeton-
Stocky and strong with a quick burst. Often looked like a man amongst boys against lesser competition. Can play either the 1 or 3 for Marinelli. Would fit nicely into the DT rotation from day 1 with his ability to shoot gaps and be disruptive.

Antone Exum FS/CB VA Tech- Missed a lot of time the past 2 years due to an acl tear in 2012 and then an ankle sprain in 2013. Has excelled at both FS and CB for Va Tech but may be a FS in the NFL due to his stocky build and lack of great flexibility in his hips. Either way he has a rare blend of size and speed for a DB. Could make a good nickle/dime package DB in replace of a safety that struggles in coverage.

**Trade to 7th's for a 6th** Kasim Edebali DE/OLB BCU- This guy plays like his hair is on fire every play with only getting to the QB on his mind. Will probably never develop into a full time player, but could be a very good nickle/dime pass rusher. This kid's burst is more impressive than a lot of the round 1 and 2 guys.

Travis Carrie CB Ohio- 6' 200 lbs with 4.4 speed. 4 ints and 2 TD's his senior year. Also a good punt and kick returner.

Senorise Perry RB Lousiville- Good size at 6' 205 with blazing speed in the low 4.4's. Was very good when he got the ball but never really carried the load in his college career. His speed is intriguing enough to bring in.

Marquis Flowers LB Arizona- A little bit of Holloman in him. Former safety who is 6'3 235 with 4.5 speed. Could turn out to be a steal as a WIL in the tampa 2.

Derrek Thompson QB North Texas- 6'4 215 with above average mobility and a strong enough arm. He's intriguing enough to stick on the practice squad to see what you have.

I always appreciate posters putting it out there for debate. I see only one slow DT in your offering.
And slow isn't a description Marinelli has mentioned.Taking two offensive players in the top three
Wouldn't be my choice either buts that just me.I'm running away from the hard liner BPA.

Are you saying Caraun Reid is slow? Because that's not the case at all. He has a very good burst off of the line.

As far as 2 offensive players.....I think a wr in the 2nd could definitely present an overwhelming value. I put Allen Robinson here but it could also be someone like Kelvin Benjamin, Davante Adams, or Martavis Bryant. All are very good WR prospects that could be hard to pass up.

And I would say G is a very big need. We have no one besides Ron Leary and Bernadeau. That's not good.

I seriously doubt we take a WR in the 2nd round. There's so many good WRs that they will get pushed down to 3rd or 4th round. Furthermore, I think we are looking for a burner, not a possession type WR.

I retract my slow statement about Reed and he would be a good pick in the fourth round.
But the offensive players int he second and third I can't buy.
We have needs at WR and guard but not nearly as badly as we need DL
If I were picking in the second I would found a DL if the value was reasonable

In some scenarios there just isn't a defensive pick in places. I want dline more than most, but we can't take a guy we rate in the 4th if we have a 2nd round rated WR or Guard/Tackle there.

Kasim Edebali sounds like a good pick in the late rounds. Good to have a player like this on third downs and late in the 4th qtr.

Yes, if he is available I think they have to take him. There is some risk because his skills and strength are underdeveloped, but his quickness is elite.

I don't see the Wow that would cause them to want to take a WR here in a deep WR draft.

Trai Turner G LSU- From a physical stand point Turner is right with any other guard in this draft class. His decision to come out early despite only starting for 1 year makes him a steal in the 3rd round. Entirely possible he could win a starting spot day 1 given his talent.
Yes, this is one of my pet cats. He was ranked as a 7th round pick when I first noticed him.

Caraun Reid DT Princeton- Stocky and strong with a quick burst. Often looked like a man amongst boys against lesser competition. Can play either the 1 or 3 for Marinelli. Would fit nicely into the DT rotation from day 1 with his ability to shoot gaps and be disruptive.
Yes, he is a good fit in the scheme.

Antone Exum FS/CB VA Tech- Missed a lot of time the past 2 years due to an acl tear in 2012 and then an ankle sprain in 2013. Interesting player. He appears to play faster than his timed speed. I like the idea of adding size to the secondary.

I'm not sold on this player. They say he is known for his burst, but I just see a great 1st step (or 2) but then it seems to fade out before he gets to the QB. He's the type I would just wait and see if he's available in the 7th.

Travis Carrie CB Ohio- 6' 200 lbs with 4.4 speed. 4 ints and 2 TD's his senior year. Also a good punt and kick returner.
I was just reviewing this player before I opened this thread. He is the type of CB that I would like them to draft. A developmental guy with some size.

Senorise Perry RB Lousiville- Good size at 6' 205 with blazing speed in the low 4.4's. Was very good when he got the ball but never really carried the load in his college career. His speed is intriguing enough to bring in.
Yes, this is a good spot to throw a draft at the remaining RBs and take one.

Marquis Flowers LB Arizona- A little bit of Holloman in him. Former safety who is 6'3 235 with 4.5 speed. Could turn out to be a steal as a WIL in the tampa 2.
Good find. I like this pick.

Derrek Thompson QB North Texas- 6'4 215 with above average mobility and a strong enough arm. He's intriguing enough to stick on the practice squad to see what you have.
I would prefer 1 of several late round DTs with upside here. Ken Bishop, Zach Kerr, etc..

2nd round is really interesting for us. Every time I do a mock that is the 1 round I struggle with the most.
The 2nd round DT's leave a lot to be desired in my opinion. Quarles is about the only guy I think would be a good fit for us but he seems like a little bit of a reach at 46.
And I really can't see us going back to back DE's in rounds 1 and 2 in a scenario where we get Barr.
2nd round LB's that can play the WIL for us? Ehh Telvin Smith could but he is way undersized. Pass on LB.
Safety is an interesting spot where we could find a fit but all indications are that the front office isn't going to invest a high pick there.

So yeah.....basically I think 2nd round is wide open as far as what position we could pick. I think it's a real possibility that it ends up being a skill position player (rb or wr) that falls.

OK, looking at the options at #47 again, Robinson is probably a good pick. DL is probably going to be over-drafted in that area due to demand exceeding supply; whereas, WR seems to be the opposite.

I think the Cowboys are looking at Safety Jimmie Ward but he will probably be gone by 47.

There will probably be some options on OL at that pick.

I love the mock but I would love too see if Donte Moncrief could take that 2nd pick instead of Robinson if we were talking WRs.

If that was the case, Homeruns inthe 1st 4 rounds

Pretty solid draft. You've obviously done some homework for this one.

Barr -- great pick at 16.
WR -- another good pick that compliments the skillset of the WR corps.
Trai Turner -- GREAT pick.
Caraun Reid -- another great pick who could be a perennial pro bowler.
Antone Exum -- huge upside as a CB or FS.

Overall I would take it.
