Can SF be considered the top team. Vikings are also 5-0
Quite a few 4-1 teams
100% they can be; there really is no debating this. They have beaten the Rams, Denver and Seattle. Talk to me in 6 weeks though, their injuries keep piling up, and I suggest they will only get worse

As recently as the 90s, players hit twice as hard and got hurt half as much.
They got hurt just as much back then, there was just less concern about player's safety and well-being for life after football. There was more of a "if you can stand up you can play" mentality. Troy Aikman would have spent Super Bowl 28 in concussion protocol via today's rules. Imagine how history would have been revised if it was Bernie Kosar winning that game for Dallas.

The players are much stronger today which makes more injuries. Where do you get the fancy calculator that comes up with those figures?
No they are not stronger today, nor faster, nor better athletes. Today's athletes are friggin' soft. If that urban myth were true then modern athletes would be 10 feet tall, weigh 1000 lbs, bench a ton, and run an 8 second 100.

The fastest player ever was Bob Hayes and he played in the 1960s.

Kevin Gogan is the biggest player ever. He was the size of Andre the Giant and he played in the 1990s.

Larry Allen is the strongest player ever and he played in the 1990s to 2000s.

Don't know if it's being soft or being smarter. I would assume 90 percent of the old time players would trade being remembered as a "tough guy" for not answering the phone when they hear the doorbell ring (yes, this happened to players including Merrill Hoge and Chris Chandler).

Looks like Arizona's going to lose another game right at the end, like they did against the Giants.
