He was only managing the game. The Bears defense is what got them to the Superbowl. When he was required to make plays (the defense wasn't enough), he failed.

Smith stopped in his route to wait for the ball and coverage was blown. Not a good pass.

I'm confused, is this guy claiming Grossman was ever good? Even the year he went to the Superbowl due to the Bears D and special teams, he sucked, horribly.
