Well, half the season is gone and I looked back at my prediction for the Cowboys. Back at the draft I had the Cowboy Defense on life support. The Cowboys Offense was good enough to be a playoff team with Romo at QB. At that time I had the Boys at 9-7. At the beginning of the season I had the Boys at maybe 10-6. after 4 games I had them at 11-5 and Division champion. At this point facing the toughest part of the schedule I have a feeling that 11-5 to 12-4 is possible. After reading some of the articles as of today a victory over the Steelers is a high probability and the Ravens are looking very vulnerable, and the Vikings offense is in the tank. So, the real tough games look to be our own division games. This brings me to my last and final prediction that 4 losses are very possible and the Cowboys end the season at 12-4, win the division and don't play until the Division games in the playoffs. If the Defense does not lose any more players and we get back those on injured, I have the Boys going to the NFC championship game. If the Boys defense is in the top five at the end of the season I have the Boys in the Super Bowl. After this my crystal ball gets fussy. :)

All l an say...other clubshad best take the Cowboys seriously or they are in for a big surprise. Prescott and Elliott are for real. The OL is presently the best in the NFL and the Defense has surpassed all expectations. For the first time in many years l honestly feel the Club can beat any other team. Thats really saying something! What a year!

We are in the midst of a truly historic run-- and I am enjoying every moment of it! Dak and Zeke have injected talent, leadership, hope, and energy into the whole team. Marinelli is getting the most out of the talent on D.

If we can keep rolling and stay healthy-- we can go deep. My concern is that we peaked too early and may physically wear down over the stretch. There is a lot of football left to play and some of our best players are dinged up and battling through some injuries that could linger all season-- in particular Tyron and Mo.

That said-- this team is doing some amazing things and I am thrilled with their performance so far this year-- and the future is bright for the Cowboys :flagwave:

I think by the the time we get to the playoffs Zeke will get a suspension for domestic violence because the league is on a witch hunt and he is a cowboy. They will try to cover for their other failures in investigating people who were truly guilty so they try to make Zeke an example and scapegoat.

I would like to see our pass rush get better, our secondary more solid and getting interceptions for TD's and denying the ball rather that a lot of zone, and Tyron Smith pain free (I think he is favoring his back on some plays). I would like to see Dak spreading the passes out to all receivers. I would like to see Dez more nimble and quick of his pass routes.

We had these elements in play when we won previous superbowls. We had nice interceptions when we beat Pitt in the SB the last time.

The NFC is loaded with good but no great teams other than the Cowboys. Every team on our schedule has warts and we are simply rolling. We don't fear any team but you can bet those teams are looking at us coming up and are thinking oh crap. NFC Championship Game is very likely.

Yup.....public enemy #1 according to espn article thus morning.......he's in a **** storm of trouble, ain't no way he's gonna avoid a suspension-- even if he's innocent

How can the NFL use a case from Feb to suspend Zeke when he wasn't even in the NFL at that time? Crazy. I hope Zeke has a good lawyer and that the NFLPA steps in to help the kid out.

This woman has already admitted to trying to set him up-- I can't believe that her credibility would hold up under scrutiny. If Goodell decides to suspend Zeke-- can Zeke appeal and play while this thing gets resolved?

Not sure how a victory over the Steelers at home is highly probable?

Worst case scenario I have us at 14-2 at the end of the season. We may drop a game either to the skins, or to the steelers today. The rest we are going to win.

I would be disappointed if we go 5-3 in the 2nd half. It could happen, but it shouldn't. However with the injuries in the secondary and facing the Steelers and Commanders offenses of what they can do, I can see it in a way. Detroit offense is looking good too, but mo and Barry will be back. Well hopefully Mo will be too.
I guess we could get a loss against the Eagles in a meaningless last game of the year.

12-4 will get us in the playoffs though.

The Giants, Eagles, and Commanders are already lusting for their rematches...grant them their wishes!

A tandem of Dunbar and Morris will suffice. Before Dunbar was injured last season, Dunbar was a terror in the flat and lined out wide. If anything happen he'll be a reliable receiver in the flat to keep the chains moving. It would suck to be without Elliott be we'll be all right.

OK, it is Monday morning and time to evaluate the Cowboys and see if the predictions are good. What I saw Sunday was a good Steeler offense go though our defense like hot butter though a goose. This shows that the Cowboys defense is not good against very good offenses. It took a great effort by the Cowboys offense to win. In the playoffs this scenario normally leads to an early exit. So, this was a learning game to see were we are and what our expectations for the playoffs should be. You need a great defense to go to the Super Bowl and the Cowboys do not have that. Looks to me like it will take another draft to give us that kind of defense.:(
