According to NBC's website "Flex-Scheduleing" is in effect for week 17. But it appears that NBC hasn't announced what game will be appearing next week on SNF. Has anyone heard what the matchup will be??? The reason I ask is if the Cowboys beat the Eagles today I am thinking NBC will take the Carolina vs. New Orleans game for SNF because it will be the game with the biggest playoff implications on the schedule.
Here are the other games they might pick...
Green Bay @ Chicago -- #1 team in the NFC vs. Brett Favre in his possible last game. Could be a good ratings getter.
New England @ Tennesse -- The Patriots have their playoff position secured but that team has tons of fans as potential viewers. The Titans will be going for their 7th consecutive win and a possible playoff birth being led by offensive rookie of the year Vince Young.
Atlanta @ Philadelphia -- The Falcons are done but Michael Vick for some reason is a ratings draw and Philly could be battleing for some playoff positioning.
Buffalo @ Baltimore -- Buffalo is out of playoff contention but is an emerging young team. Baltimore is the #2 seed in the AFC and is an interesting story. They are also a team that has not yet been on SNF this year so there could be some new interesting material for NBC's crew to cover.
Other that these games everything else is pretty much lacking a storyline or playoff implications. My guess is they'll be in New Orleans.
