Sunday night vs. Monday night games

I am glad we have 3 Sunday night games! IMO the Sunday night broadcast was much better last year than the Monday night games. And I hate waiting 1 more day to watch the game. Anyone else feel the same?

Other than Kornhole I still enjoy watching MNF, it gives me something to look forward to after a long day at work on Mondays.

Most importantly, our record on Sunday nights since the NBC broadcasts started is sterling, I think we've only been beaten once. That's the most important reason to prefer SNF to MNF at this point.

Speaking of Sunday night, one version of those games I couldn't stand, mainly because we used to struggle on it for some reason, was TNT's Sunday Nitro that ended back in '97 I believe. Vince Cellini, who was a big Cowboys hater, was the pre-game host and Verne Lundquist and Pat Haden did the announcing if I'm not mistaken.

The NFL announced last in 2006 that the Sunday night games would become the "premier" game each week (theoretically), which is why those games are on a broadcast network now and Monday nights are on a cable network.

So yes, Sunday nights are the new Monday nights -- by design.

I did not know that was the intent. Makes sense and personally I love it!

IMO, i like sunday night tons better, i love the madden and micheals, NFL football is not the same without madden, stater of the obvious, and micheals is the greatest announcer out there, period. Well besides Brad Sham on the local radio broadcast, if only i didnt have satellite delay.

Although Sunday night is better with Michaels and Madden, it is hard waiting all day for the Cowboys to play.

I like the tradition of Monday night and that it is the only game that day. ESPN needs to get rid of Tony and Tirico. They would do wonders if they had Vermeil and someone like Collinsworth along with Jaws.

I like SNF better than MNF because I get to watch the entire SNF game. The last couple seasons I have only caught either both the 3rd and 4th quarters or only the last half of the 4th quarters of MNF because I go to school at night and my classes don't ususally end till 9:30 or 10:30, depending on the subject.

Honestly, I do not remember the last game, national or not, I really paid too much attention to the announcers. They are just background noise to the action, I am that much into the game.

As you could guess, I am a bit high strung during all Cowboys games.
