On Defense:

We need to load up in the box, get physical, bring Ellis and Ware off the corners...it's all about stopping the run, first and foremost. If we shut down the run and make them one dimensional, we'll be okay and make enough plays on defense.

On Offense:

We need to spread the field with TO and Roy...instead of overloading with multiple WR sets, we need to go max protection for Brad and let TO, Roy, and Witten/Crayton have room to operate and get open...3 receivers out, max protect, and NEVER, NEVER, NEVER throw in the flats to Brooks' side...run Barber out on the other side of the field.

OL must perform better...we need to throw on first down and get decent gains of 5-6 yards, making it easier to get the running game going. We cannot line up and run the ball on first down over and over, putting Brad and the offense into tough situations.

No turnovers, solid special teams, max protect on offense now that we have two receivers to throw to, and we win.

Add in your keys to the game....

Garrett needs to get Owens on the move!!! If he doesn't the Cowboys will be in trouble.

The biggest thing we need to do IMO is establish the run. Getting Marion going will force the very athletic Barrett Ruud to start dropping down quicker - and then we could take advantage of the deep middle, the big weakness in the defense, with our big athletic TEs.

If Marion doesn't get going, I don't think our offense has a chance. It all starts up front - keep Barrett in the box and make him a half step late dropping back to the deep middle. It's a tall order, but certainly attainable.

Keep Garcia in the pocket and collapse it - knock down passes - get penetration in the middle and don't let him move around.

Start someone other than BJ at QB: Bollinger, Stanback, Crayton, it doesn't matter just someone who isn't BJ.......:laugh1:

C'mon, dude. You didn't even say anything here. That should be the "Game plan" for every team, every week.

Why don't you post an actual game plan instead of something general that every team in the history of the NFL has set out to do every game they've played?

Yes let's expose the rookie corners to Garthia and his brutal pass attack...

Why don't you post an actual game plan instead of something general that every team in the history of the NFL has set out to do every game they've played?

Have you watched a game this year?

1. We have not been bringing Ware and Ellis together, very seldom...we've been using one of them in coverage.

2. We have not been a physical team this year...we're soft and other teams continue to out-physical us.

3. We have not been shutting down the running game by loading up with our SS.

It's easy to say that should be the plan every game, but you sound foolish to not realize that we have not done it once this year...instead we've been trying to protect our secondary from the big play.

BTW, thanks for adding your brilliant game planning ideas....what were those again?

Think before you write so you don't look like a dufus, which I'm sure you are not.

That can be quite simple? Bring the pressure constantly around Garcia, and ran the ball hard and straightforward. So we will have achieved a reasonable chance of winning this game!

But especially the running game, is always important no matter what football game it is.

The problem is we haven't been able to line-up man to man and run the ball at the defense very well at all. 1st and 10, becomes 2 and 8 or more real quick with the way the offensive line has been run blocking. That said, Barber can't start his typical sidewinder motion in this game. He has to run straight at the defense and hard.......

Oh the irony. You're the one that posted a "Game plan" w/o actually posting any game plan whatsoever.

You should have taken your own advice. Too late now.
