Happened again. Hope was teed up and ready to be hit down the middle of the fairway to a GREAT story and a 3-2 start. Once again, hope is crushed and we are left with wanting to turn the clock back and get another try.
So where do we stand?
I give you the sunshine side of my thinking and the rain. I will start with the rain.
The Dark View:
If we lose the ones we were in position to win and should have won (KC and SD)
And if we lose the ones we could have stolen (Den)
Then we are headed for another year of the same. I want to believe in more than that, but honestly this team just continues to do the same things over and over.
The Sunshine View:
The other part of my mind says, "I hope that we can finally turn the corner." I mean we played some GREAT football for most of today's game. Was the defense awful? Yes. But did the defense make some plays in the 2nd half that allowed the offense to put us in the position to win? Yes. Did we fight back after most thought we were finished and actually have the chance to win it? Yes.
If we beat Washington Sunday night to go 3-3, we are not in a terrible place headed to Detroit and facing Philly.
I mean, why can't it turn our way for once? I want to believe it can.
Right now just really disappointed because there is no way we should be worse than 3-2 after five weeks.
