Twitter: Super Bowl Teams Who Continually Draft OL In The 1st Round.

Get a RB tonight. Maybe WR2. Then focus on defense rest of the draft.

Of course if they build a great OL, threats at RB and WR. Still need that great TE. I was hoping they would have drafted Warren.

However, still a few years away. As they need to access the main issue yet. But will they.

I don't form opinions based on a twitter post. Those are usually ramblings of unsatisfied people who have no other form of expression. However if enough data and research is behind the post, I will pay attention. In this case, it would be interesting to know, all those teams that did not spend a draft pick on O line in the first round, how many of those players did they get in free agency that had first round draft grade. If I have that information then I can evaluate this claim better.

I have no problem with OL high in the first round if he's a bona fide blue chipper like Tyron or Zach, but to reach like they did yesterday...

He'll be a good player, but guys like him can be had in the later rounds.
He wasn't a reach. He's the best Guard in the draft. Lesser guys were taken AFTER him. 3 Guards were taken in the first 24 picks. This team couldn't run and couldn't stop the run last year. Fixing it starts somewhere. This is what they chose to do.

EVERYONE keeps saying fix the trenches, and when they do now we're mad!??? lol it's our fault yall
Fans can be hypocritical. We see it all too often. They will never be happy.

Fix the trenches .... draft one, ...fans ...oh that sucks, should have drafted a RB.
Fix the run game,... draft a RB .... fans ...oh that sucks, fix the trenches. should have draft an OL.

The Cowboys continue to do things differently from the winning franchises in the NFL.

This why fans like myself hate seeing my team draft OL every year in the 1st round.

It means nothing without weapons.
I’m with you. I don’t dislike the pick…I’m always whining about the trenches…but it’s probably the wrong trench in this case.

Most teams have one high pick, another mid rounder and the rest late/UDFA types as starters on the OL.

OL early is a safe bet. Probably the safest, but it’s going to leave them short elsewhere.

I didn’t do my usual research on this draft because Jerry has stolen the joy from me, but I was told around here there was no DT worth taking unless Graham slid….and THREE of them went just after we picked.

Tell me they wouldn’t have been better off with drafting a guy like Harmon, signing Poona to 3/27 and keeping a guy like Golston at 3/19 and probably and extra mid rounder for dealing down for Harmon, and some cap room for another player….as opposed to JUST Osa at 4/80.

They have NO idea what they are doing.

Rico had over 1,000 rushing yards while being ranked 15th in carries last year.

What are you talking about?
