Twitter: Super Bowl Teams Who Continually Draft OL In The 1st Round.

Get a RB tonight. Maybe WR2. Then focus on defense rest of the draft.

Of course if they build a great OL, threats at RB and WR. Still need that great TE. I was hoping they would have drafted Warren.

However, still a few years away. As they need to access the main issue yet. But will they.
“The rest of the draft” LOL

starting in rd5 you want them to “focus on defense”

It kinda is.

Y’all like what Jerry tells you to like.

That’s why he does everything different than the winning teams.

He doesn’t have to care, because you guys will fall in line regardless.
No, fans do not. Another myth you try to make a reality by repeating it over and over.
Fans are not mushrooms like you think they. Your fertilizer does not work.

AND a 1st round QB.

I get the needing a Guard, but your picking 12th and the guys is rated as the 40th best player on average by alot of people. I think they are trying to be cute like the martian/manzel thing. or the Fredrick. i do not doubt he's going to be good. but trade down or pick him up later.

I think the Eagles are too in there heads trying to stop there rush attack and run the ball. We have no legit 2nd WR. No legit RB either. We have Mazi and OSA that did absolutely NOTHING last year. No middle LB and 2 Hurt Corners 1 that may not play until the 12th game of the season. We had other holes IMO to draft a Guard at the 12th pick.

The Cowboys continue to do things differently from the winning franchises in the NFL.

This why fans like myself hate seeing my team draft OL every year in the 1st round.

It means nothing without weapons.
Yes, but those weapons mean nothing if Dak doesn't have time to miss his first read, second read, and overthrow his check-down guy.

lonnie I'm trying to keep the peace here you rascal and here you are stirring the pot. What do you have to say for yourself, young man?

Successful teams draft late as well. Like we have the previous two years. That’s how you end up with the slim pickings of Mazi and Guyton as well.

This selection should not be a surprise to anyone regardless if the pick is liked or not. Mad Genius is repeating what 'worked' for him in the past: 1) upgrade most of the offensive line with first rounders and 2) end up with a dominant unit with the least amount of effort and worry.

2011-2014: Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick, Zack Martin. 2022-present: Tyler Smith, Tyler Guyton, Tyler Booker.

Admittedly, he hit home runs the first time. This time? Smith? Yes. Guyton? Question mark. Booker? To be determined.

Jones should feel fortunate this strategy is somewhat fortified by Cooper Beebe's third round selection last year. Beebe was a solid pick and will help the line's transformation even if the Guyton and/or Booker picks do not eventually pay off in the end.

I was so proud of our great OL from 2014 when a one-legged Aaron Rodgers torched our defense relying on random journeymen. Or 2016 when they were a #1 seed and relied on guys like Benson Mayowa, Jeff Heath, and David Irving to stop the Packers. Or 2017 when they couldn't score a single TD in a must-win game vs. Seattle and failed to make the playoffs.

The bill always comes due. When they spend premium picks on the OL every year, they can't complain later in the season when they fall short due to other major weaknesses on the roster.
